its a 1985 toyota std cab short box 4x4 truck. it has a 7" skyjacker suspension lift and 35x12.5x15 inch tires and brand new wheels. it has 5.29 gears front and rear with a lincon locker in the rear. it has a new head and rv cam. the bottom end has been rebuilt. it is a carb engine the 22r. i also have all the fuel injection stuff except for the dist. it needs the timing chain adjusted and it will run just dont have the time to fix it. i also have a exo cage that goes with the truck.
Is this a good truck? i asked them how many miles it has still havent heard back. i really liek the olive drab.
thanks for the input

Start off at 1500$ and go from there. looks like a nice truck that will fit in the trails. Maybe lower it a bit.

yea he said $2500 OBO. im gonna start at $1500 and go $2000 tops. it is a real nice truck. the lift is brand new, tires and wheels are new, new clutch, new engine has 500 miles on it. the only problem he said is that the timing belt needs to get pushed back 3 ft.
thanks for the input guys

3ft? Nevermind.

Sounds like with the new motor, it probably is worth up to 2500$.

yea i dont really understand but thats what he said when i called and asked. i dont know how that would happen if its a new engine?
thanks

I would want to know more about the bottom end. Who did the work. If he doesn't have reciepts from a reputable shop, I would consider it a dead motor, or soon to be. I would want to see at least 5k miles on a rebuild before I would trust it. I wouldn't pay more than 1500 for it.

Its my pet peav when someone says in an ad "all it needs is" I dont think there is a timing chain adjustment. There is a hydrolic tensioner. I may be wrong but if the timing chain was put on in the wrong position, how can trust anything else was done right?

yea i agree. i dont really trust the guy. i ahve a k5 blazer that im workin on building up right now, but was jsut browsing on craigslist for a nice DD yota. anyone know anyone who does paint for cheap? i want to get my blazer olive drab.
thanks guys
