77 F-250 full size all the way!!!!

The whole is actually covered rivveted a plate in behind so its golden. I haveb't worried about weight in the rear because i shortening the wheelbase.

If i measured all right (like 20times now) my rear tires will be only 9in away from my cab or some crazy number like that so it should have a very centered weight to it! . . . . . . I hope:eeek:

Hopefully the rear will flex.
 
now that i think about it, those skyjacker springs were pretty stiff last time i wheeled with him. i think he will want to add a little weight over the rear axle.

Well first off i only have skyjacker blocks in the rear no springs:fawkdancesmiley: Second those are coming out before i drive it again its raked up now about 4 inches after the shackel flip:awesomework: Third i removed 2 leafs out of the rear pack :cheer: I can put my high lift under the axle and max out the lift no problem and the opposite tire stays down.

KEY THING IS the shackel flip to 2 less leafs without my shocks in the thing flexs like a motha, I just need new shocks :mad: bad!

how much are you taking out of the frame?

You haven't seen this thing drive lately the fastes its seen in the past 4 months in 35mph. Usually is low in 1st crawling everywhere. . . And getting high centered everywhere:mad: I'm throwing on some either 38sx's or some 39iroks haven't decided yet withing the next month. :cheer:

Got my winch finally:cheer: :cheer: 12,000lb mile marker see how she works out. . .

Been working on the front bumper for the last week a couple hrs after work. I only have a sawzall and cutting 1/4in plate gets tiring but its getting there:awesomework:

And yes I know the bumper is smaller then the front end it actually is perfect width for after the dove tail. cutting the frame tomorrow alittle more:awesomework:

I'm sorry I would have picked up the 8274 that's for sale on here before I bought one of those..But the truck look's great anyway good job have enjoyed this thread so far..:awesomework:

how the hell did you wrangle a brand new 12k mile marker for free? :eeek:

Lets just put it this way karma is amazing:cheer: you help out somebody in a really tight spot and get punched in the face a couple times for it and its amazing what happens after wards
 
Ok well have some damage to report.....
Broken front out axle shaft
lost 3rd gear in tranny
Power steering box has quite a bit of side to side movement in shaft(spraying oil)
bent tierod:eeek:
more body damage(lol well no duh:rolleyes: )

I almost forgot A couple days ago i walked outside to start my truck smelt something alittle off and popped my hood and found this lovely gem. For some reason either me half alseep or a freid hooked up the battery charger up to it and just left it. And i made a skid plate for my DD first layer is aluminum diamond plate and backing that is 1/8th inch plate pretty sturdy and pretty:cheer:

I'm in the process now of selling my fourwheeler and as soon as i get the money i am ordering up some parts:
4 link parts to do the rear
205/203 ORD doubler
AGR Super steering box/pump
35spline rear 60 shafts
A junkyard 60:cheer:
a few misc items:cool:

I'm also gonna buy about 12ft of 2x6 c channel to remake the frame from my cab back. I'm gonna first stretch the rear axle back to have a 90 degree departure angle and then shorten the frame up to make a 115in wheelbase. Should work out pretty good:cool:

I got really bored last night and decied to accomplish something:awesomework: I starting by making cardboard templates and then transferred them to metal. I made the rear truss/4link mount for the rear 60, i think it turned out rather decent for my first time ever fabbing anything like that:redneck: I also got my rear air tank mounted and painted a few things on my engine!

I think your doing a great job. And your ol' ford is coming along nicely. However, i have one concern. Those rear lift blocks. I hope there are plans in the near future to get rid of them? I'm not knocking your work or your progress. But getting those blocks out of there should be top of the list of "things to do".
 
One thing your going to run into--weight is going to be a HUGE killer for you---I would try to lighten the rig up every way possable becuase I guarantee you will constantly have things fail on ya..

Otherwise keep up what your doing--your learning :awesomework:
 
Oh and maybe for future project's it's allway a good idea to get a good spot for your battery,and securing it so it don't move..

Until you get to linking it, and (IMO) do the front first...

Look at early-mid 70's GM 3/4T rear spring hangers.
They are roughly 4" taller then the OE ford units. You may have to move the spring pads on the axle... You will have to burn them off and bolt em on, but an easy swap!:beer:

The blocks are definetly coming out before it hits the trail again for sure:awesomework: Can u believe skyjacker said to install them like that looks super scary! So Crash i took your advice on the whole make it lighter comment, and well i completly destryoed my whole front. . . Its definetly not done i have to finish the small hood and The battery mount but other then that, I think i will be able to fit more places and be lighter:cheer: I measured out what i'm doing for a wheelbase. . . . How does 113in sound????

And just a few more. . . I went wheeling with a buddy up in reiter friday, we ran sac up, eat poop, rock garden, and cable! THe whole time i wanted my truck so i could drive it drove me crazy and i got inspired when i came home. I dont really care about how pretty it is i just want it to work and so far it works alot better then when i first got it thats for damn sure:cool:
