I know where it is, been there. And I hate to :stirpot: but most of it is closed last I remember. Granted last time I was there was 12 or so years ago, and most was being closed then.

nope it hasnt been closed off...
But i can see why they should and will, theres a car that someone has left up there... theres trash all over the place and huge ruts in the hill side, to be honest when i got there i was kind of thinking to my self "Why the hell would this not be blocked off..."
its kind of stupid that theres a private property sign being blocked by a tree, and a huge sign out front that says "No dumping"
when i entered i was paying attention to what was coming up because it twists around alot and my rear end was starting to drift left... thus not seeing the sign.
Anyway i aint going back.. and ill look to take my wheeling to a place that isnt illegal.
that is after i fix my truck (Stupid dumpster)
i was backing out of a parking spot into an ally, and there was a dumpster about fender height that was about 4inches off the road...
It hit my tail light and put a nice 2ft streak in my fender...
Stupid fog...

Yeah I've been there a couple years ago and if it's illegal it's not signed well, but it's definately more of a "dump garbage and cook meth" place than wheelin spot. I used to live in Bham so i feel your pain- no good wheelin anywhere up there. Also I remember a sherriff lived in the last house on Academy by the entrance, I'm sure he comes across all sorts of misfit behavior.
Go to Walker Valley. Go in the Big Lake side and past the parking lot a half mile or so on your left is a trailhead. It's hard to see but there is a small sign there for Upper Mainline. It winds you up a short and very steep hillclimb to a gravel pit. A word of caution- don't drive into something you can't drive out of and don't go alone. Have fun :awesomework:
