Need some opinions on tcase gearing

I like my 3.8 case 5.13 gear combo. Crawls great and let it shift to drive for tire speed.

Official "Post your trail riding pics" Thread

That Gatekeeper recovery cost the group a bunch of riding time. Also a painful reminder that engine oil doesn't compress very well.

Baddest Trail Rig in the Southeast.

Here is a video of me trying to keep up with Sam until I bent a wheel on DW at Golden Mountain. https://youtu.be/69IzJlNGRnk No telling how many Johnson Valley miles it has from multiple trips to KOH.

RCV Big Bells in 05+ F250/350 outers

I destroyed the LP60 gears on my first ride. My LP Jana76 with a load bolt, Yukon axles and Super Joints have held up without fail since 2013. I think that the one piece drive shaft helps since the u-joint angle is less severe and doesn't put as much stress on the pinion. Less agressive driving...

RCV Big Bells in 05+ F250/350 outers

Currie high pinion 35 spline D70 gears could be fitted in the HP60 case. I would have to swap to a driver drop TC to run a 14 bolt due to the pinion offset.

    Sold/Expired HONDA Fl350R fl350 odyessey 1985 Springfield Ohio

Definitely nice. I had one that was stretched with a CBR600 F3 engine.

    LS engine builds

I thought $5K would be close but it is near $5500 and adding tuning and eBay used injectors and intake it is close to $6500. That doesn't count the LQ4 engine that I started with.

    LS engine builds

LQ4 stroked to 402 with Molnar crank and rods. SRP 10.7 pistons, new LS3 Heads, Brian Tooley rockers, Texas Speed stage 1 cam kit 225/236 duration 629/615 lift. Stock LS3 injectors and intake. Tuned by Steve's Automotive in Lebanon TN. Texas Speed said it should have 560-565 horsepower. Made 315...

    Golden Mountain Park: NOT closed

I would do Harlan and Golden Mountain. I would pick GMP over Windrock any day for a well built rig.

Daily Driver oil type talk (gas engines only)

I used to run Castrol GTX in all of my gas burners and I put 350,000 miles on a Maxima changing the oil every 5000. I talked to a drag racer who was running a GTO Judge in a stock class for years. His car was a little quicker after changing to Mobil 1 in the engine and rear differential but I...

    6.7 Cummins vs 6.7 Powerstroke

The dual disc organic Valair towing clutch that I have has held up well and not very jumpy. I am at 24k lbs most of the time. You do have to shift slower with a dual disc.

    Trans cooler

Check out the Derale Hyper-cool stacked plate coolers. They make 19, 25, and 40 row versions. That is their most efficient series.

    Telemarketers

My dad would tell them that he was hard of hearing and get them to repeat it louder. After 2 or 3 times of them repeating, he would tell them to hang on while he gets his wife because she can hear better. He would then just lay the phone down until they hung up.

    Tow rig shocks

I have installed Rancho on most every pickup used for towing that I have ever owned including the steering stabilizer. I have never had one to fail and they control the heavy 245/19.5s on my dually great.
