Just wanted to get a thread going about ride locations for next year. Harlan and River Rock are high on my list. Hey RB what did you think about Wooly's and Mayhem?

Didn't make it to Mayhem, but Wooly's was great. Lots of fourwheeler traffic, but it's worth it for the trails.

If we hit Wooly's we could also check out Summertown because it's only 30 minutes away. Just something to think about.

I dig the combination type ride idea... very cool to not hit the same place everyday 8)

Good call RB, they are like 28 miles apart. Both just up 65-N less than 150 miles from us. I say that should be a definate trip because it is close and we can hit 2 parks in one weekend. We would need to ride Summertown first since it is further away and then hit Wooly's on day two! Nice!

I would love to put on our own Winter Wheelin type weekend in Harlan in the Feb timeframe. It is further away but I have heard it is totally worth it. RiverRock would also be another sweet spot we need to hit.

Be prepared to talk about and possibly vote on ride locations for 2008, timing of rides and number of rides. We will also need to work on getting a Gray Rock and MMORV calendar of set events so we don't interfere with any local ride dates.

What do you think about having the Clayton run in late May and moving the forum ride to July? May is a better time frame for Clayton before it gets Crazy hot.

I have both dates blocked, so fliping them is fine with me. Check with Dollar, his schedule seems tighter and we are looking at an extra day off on Clayton.

Got my schedule for the XRRA races.

April 19th Eastern Division #1 Gray Rock, AL
May 17th 2nd Eastern Division #2 Jellico, TN
July 12th Eastern Division #3 Hannibal, MO
August 16th Eastern Division #4 Badlands, IN
September 20th US Finals Jellico, TN

I have to be at all of these, with the possible exception of the IN event. Matt Callies(sp?) might grab that one for me. Is it too late to reschedule the forum ride and Clayton? I really wanted to hit both of those.

I will plug this in the calendar and we can move things around, thanks for posting up. Clayton in May is nice, plus I have us a guide or two with sweet rigs!!!

Ricky, see if you can also nail down the GrayRock big rides. We were working on a tennitive calendar and already the April ERRA is on a date we said would be Spring Fling. So we need to look hard and talk about at the next meeting, I guess.

Yeah RB, if you can find out the dates for the big Gray Rock rides that would be nice...

Only set event I know of is the Shamrock Run at MMORV. It is March 15-16.

John/Rich, one of you might ask Keith about his winter ride since you are the only two definates from the club that would make the list. Date and destination would be good to have for the calendar and ride planning in 2008.

good job sorry i was not any help but i like the long distance rides i am in

I asked, he said the first weekend after New years, so 1-11 1-12. I think those dates are not to be public, so keep them here.

Another suggestion would be that if Keith decides to go to Harlan in January this year insted of Tellico, we could make Clayton our winter run and do Harlan later on in the fall. That would it would not be back to back rides @ Harlan for those that go with Keith.
