Purdy. I was just headed in here to inquire about status. :redneck:

So, why did you decide against making the 231 doubler work? How much longer is it than a factory 231?

Just a dana 300 is simpler and I dont have to worry about the aluminum case of the 231. Its about an inch longer than a stock 231, but with the lift im running and having the drivetrain tucked way up the driveline angle was just too severe. I guess I wanted more clearance over a little deeper gearing. I'm kicking myself for not putting 6.17s in the diffs.
 
i was kind of curious the other day when i saw where for rear output was. it looked like the d-line would have been a killer angle.

That's only because you didn't have the talent to swap out the factory lights :haha: :haha: :fawkdancesmiley:

Edit: let me rephrase that, you were able to swap them out, just not make them look good or correct.:haha:
