Nick made it up, an broke an axleshaft.
I got Judd his chain.
And yes, you shoulda come! We got into like 2 feet of snow up near split-rock. And the lower mainline area was just flat nasty
On a sidenote, the mudbog at the top of the Easy valley Connector got blocked off/filled in.

So, my take home from today...
1) I still need bigger/new tires
2) Walker is gettin more and more challenging with the ammount of use its gettin
3) I still can't drive. But I only needed winched once today.:cheer::haha:
4) Ron's run is pretty knarly, and needs to be run more so it gets beat in!

I was up there doing my own thing but ran into the Jakob and BBS group a few times.
As I was coming down Ridge Ram I ran into Nick and his group... really thankful for you guys, thanks for all the help last night. I have already contacted Clark. Hope to wheel with you guys again, awesome to know that there is some really stand up guys out there. :awesomework:

Was a good day. I ran around with my buddy Brad (YotaKid) and Buckels all day, we adopted him for the day. Buckels (can't remember his name) was having carb issues and stalled on the hill climb out of the parking lot so we got a little behind the main group.
We ended up cruising around by ourselves, I broke a front short-side inner shaft, trying to get my self turned around. So I ran around in 3-wheel drive, kind of a bummer since I couldn't play on any of the rocks in 3-wheel drive very well. I wanted to try the v-notch.
Had a blast mobbing around in the snow on the upper forest service roads and some of the gravel pits.
I am glad we chose to go Ridge Ram, because that would have been aboslutley sucky for Nick (Maverick) if he didn't run into us.
So in one day I ran Ridge Ram 3 times, 2 down hill and 1 up hill. Two of the times it was in the dark with no headlights. :redneck:
Nick glad to hear you got another set of beadlocks ordered. Oh and thanks for the hot coccoa, that hit the spot. :awesomework:

He was running his snow tires (old carved up swampers) instead of his Red labels, but he didn't have bead locks on this set. And peeled the tire off both beads. We tried to re-seat it, using some carb cleaner and a match but couldn't get the carb cleaner to burn (his can of starting fluid was out of propellent). Then we tried a rachet strap and my Co2 tank but didn't have a wide enough strap so would couldn't get a good enough bulge to make it re-seat.
But this experience did make me realize something, I need to put water-proof matches in my tool bag, a can of starting fluid, and one of my big 4" straps. Oh and a propane tank works great as a emergency seat. :redneck:

Well I had heard bad things about running reds in the snow so I ran out and got a set of some 38" POS gumbos for CHEAP on rims. I took them out to Bunks shop and cut the **** out of them.. They worked great in the snow but wheelin in the tight trails on full width axles rubbing on trees and burping air out the beed is not what they are ment for... Anyway... we got it recovered in less then 45 min. :awesomework:
