22RE 02 sensor

Hey everybody, I have an '85 4runner with a 22RE and the cat converter removed. The 02 sensor is zip tied to the frame rail (previous owner) and my check engine light is on. Is this going to affect my mileage or performance, and does anyone know if there is a good 02 sensor simulator available? Any ideas would be a big help.

Have a bung/plate welded into the exhaust pipe.
Fix it instead of trying to hack it any more than it already is.

Is that something I can just bring it to an exhaust shop and have welded in?
Will this affect performance/mileage?

probably would be better off finding someone on here who wouldnt mind doing it for a couple beers be WAY cheaper

I want to get the whole exhaust replaced it looks like it was pretty hacked together. The welds are sketchy at best so I guess Ill just do it when I get the whole system done. Unless there

I think1985 only has one O2 sensor on the exhaust manifold, or just below it.

It has the one on the manifold (that is in tact) as well one in the back where the cat should be.

So i guess my truck is missing one. Good 2 know. Although it doesnt throw any codes.

it must depend on the vehicle then. my 85 only has the one in the manifold.

Mines the same way, and from whats there it doesnt look like one was cut out.

I could maybe see it having 2 if it's a cali model, but I'd need to look at the r.m. to be sure.
