300m RCV Toyota Longfields worth $?

I am sure that this has been brought up many times but I am about to purchase some new RCV Longfields and wondering if it is worth the extra money for the 300m inner shafts.
RCV offers the 30 spine for $645 and u can upgrade it to a 300m inner shaft for $150 more. Is it worth the extra $? Or are the normal 30 spline good enough? I know they are all lifetime warranty and I hate breaking stuff as much as anyone.
Also who is the best dealer to buy from?

I have broke 4- 27 spl trail gears and 1- 27 longfield . Have had 30 spl. rcv/longs, for about 3 years, have one clicking so it may be about to go. If you want to run 27 spl . try the marlin crawler. I have had the best luck with their 27's . 30's are worth the upgrade.

Don't waste your $$ on 27 spline... Put 30s and drive flanges and don't look back

Had a good friend tell me this once.....

It only cost a little more to go first class....... 8)

Might as well get the 30 splines so you are not looking back and spending double plus some.

Rcvs all the way call dave at daves offroad supply he will hook you up. Been run true longfields for 3 years never broke but this last year the driveside finally decided to end its life. Didnt break still kept trucking along but takes a hammer to move the joint and made a hell of a racket

I meant 30 spline with 300m shafts. I confused myself when I was reading up on RCV. That's why I just updated my post

You will likely blow a star in the birf before you ever destroy an inner. I would save the money on the 300M upgrade, especially since they're lifetime warranty on the 4340.

300m is the upgrade from regular chromo your 30 spline longs will be stronger than most everything you can put in a mini axle so I wouldn't see it being necessary some people like to go the extra mile they make 300m in their larger axles so the tooling is probably the same is the only reason they offer them!

Werent longs 300m before trail queer bought them?

Look at it this way... For me to get to harlan and back is $350 in fuel plus cabin and food and yada yada... Do u really wanna spend all that $$ and time gettin there and in 20 mins break an axle because you saved $160 on parts??? That's how I look at cheap upgrades like that... Pay the Upgrade and don't look back

I think the 300m is a axle upgrade, has nothing to do with a birf. No one on here ever said they broke a 30. axle. I never broke any front axles. I don't think you need 300m axle upgrade. JMO.

The 300m upgrade that rcv is offering is for the inner axles.

The guts of the birf have always been 300m.

The upgrade to 300m inners is unnecessary. You'll blow the bell or crack a star and strip the splines before you ever break an inner shaft.
