43 stickies vs 60 strength?

35 spline be fine....just not with 43s

Myself and several buddies run 40" stickies on built Toyota axles with great success. However we're all around 3k pounds, 4 bangers and automatics. Plus we're much more into slow, technical crawling.

All that to say, it really depends on your driving style that makes the biggest difference. Weight of the rig and the manual trans is not gonna help though.

Personally, I'd probably swap the rear to a 14 bolt if you break the rear.

This one had a 420hpLS, 6l80e PR60/80 5.38's, KOH spec 40" trail grapplers, Atlas 3.8 and street weight was 6840lbs, Trail `weight about 1000lbs more..we Party hard and have huge tents etc. No issues and had it bounce off rocks and get air a few times.

Good to know. I'm 3300# Yota buggy on 41 irok dot and been eyeing 40 sticky's but not a lot of info on survivability of axles. I also wheel as slow as I can and as fast as I have to.

Nice setup! I expected a built up 4-door JK to weigh north of 6k but just surprised by a CJ weighing that much.

I'm running 40" irok stickies and everyone else in the group is on 40" reds. No issues for any of us. My buggy has only been on a few trips so far but pretty much all the rest of the guys have had theirs for several years.
