I actually did a little to it today... Bolted all the mile long drivetrain together and set the frame over it. Mainly to make it take up less floor space.

Looks like the exhaust will clear fine.

I guess if it does I'll get the TWF fix-it shaft and locking shifters...

i think i would go ahead and do it now while it's easy and be done with it

I considered it, but the PO said he never had a problem with it.

I opened it up and everything looked good inside.

first one I've seen with 4ws

I'll get back on mine soon. Had to put new wheel bearing front AND rear in the Tacoma, and build an engine for the Gremlin, so time and shop space was pre-occupied

Unless someone wants to buy all of it, chassis, engine, trans, F/R steer axles, coilovers/airshocks... :****:

I really have zero motivation to build this now. Not really sure why.

Hell I've been enjoying just trail riding in my Tacoma. No tow rig, no trailer, just go.

I picked up a propane "kit" for free, so that solves my fuel dilemma.

425 mixer, Model E, vff30.

Still need a Holley throttle plate, some tanks, and all the associated plumbing.

I also tinkered on the axles a bit and figured out how to retain the stub shafts in the unit bearing, as the chromo stubs do not have snap ring grooves. I'm using 1.5" split shaft collars in behind the drive slugs to hold the stub in place. Since the stub will not spin separate of the inner hub, it'll work fine.

The rear steer axle went under Chucks Tacoma that now lives in MI. Front 14b went to custompower, trans and Stak went in wimpykids Jeep buggy that sold on here recently, shocks went on a big Rockwell buggy, I traded Mo the chassis for a 3rd gen 4Runner.

I still have all the gauges, wilwood brake stuff, full hydro steering stuff, heims/link material, etc.

Basically decided that not using an LS based drivetrain was a bad idea, and the more I tried to get the drivetrain to layout in the Bentfab chassis the more I didn't like about it. So I had ~$15k in a pile of stuff that I wasn't excited about using. Figured I could buy a one ton rig that I could drive on the road for that, and it would fit what I need better.

Sold my tow rig & trailer too. Meh.
