5.3l LS Has No Low End Power

Almost exact issue I experienced with a similar setup and it ended up being my drivers side valve cover needed replaced. The PCV is built in to that valve cover and becomes non functional overtime making the motor load up on fuel as if it has a vacuum leak.

my new build did the same thing this weekend and when we put the scanner on it it showed knock sensor codes, cleared the code and rode the rest of the day without issue. I will be ordering new sensors this afternoon
Was it back firing/ knocking or just lack of power?

What is the solution if it's back firing/knocking?

Gotta determine if it is a fuel or spark issue. 5.3/6.0 are very susceptible to low fuel pressures from a failing pump or clogged filter. Failing coil packs/shorted spark plug wire/cracked plug ceramic can all also be culprit. Once you have eliminated all of those as suspects then you have to start digging into some of the harder to check items. Shorted wires, bad grounds, corrosion etc. The PCM is usually the least likely culprit but checking it for codes can always give you a good starting point.
