'89 yota 3slo to 4.3 engine swap questions

The vortex injection system is prone to failures anyway, I'd rip it off and run carb or tbi if emissions wasnt an issue

The later one 96+ is better, but the injection spider starts to leak because the poppet valves fail, and it's expensive to fix.. I've had 4 and did spiders on 2 of em

The 96 and later are not one single assembly unlike the early CPI's. Each individual injector in the assembly is replaceable unlike on the CPI unit where its one big assembly. Most poppet failures at the end are due to lack of service and usually fail due to a bad spray pattern way more than being stuck open. I have seen far more CPI failures in the assembly and many broken nylon feed tubes down in the intake.

Yeah I know like I said the 96+ one is a far better assembly I've only ever seen one fail.

really odb2 a pain in the ass? its 4 wires two of which are ground, one is 12v and the other is the signal from the computer... where is the complication? oh where you choose to mount it, got it.

as far as the computer stuff I got the one im working on reflashed for 75.00 and had it back in less then a week, told him what i wanted and didnt want and no problems. When I checked it it was only monitoring the systems I wanted it to it was pretty easy.
