no worries, her tags aren't due for another 3 weeks......did you get that, HER tags, HER 3K hospital bill, HER car paymentS (plural).......I thought combining incomes meant more money ??? molaugh
Just the beginning mah mang

It is more money just three times the bills. Women are expensive even if you dont have a high maintenance one. They may say something about what we spend on our toys but you start adding clothes, purses etc. you can get alot of great parts for that money being thrawn away.

You ain't bullshitting!

Mine makes good money and doesn't spend money on ****. I'm dead serious, she doesn't hang out at the mall. She rarely buys ****, and when she does she always gets it on sale or special. But still, the money goes somewheres. No idea where, but it goes........
And she used to really really really give me hell for my spending on my habits errr, I mean hobbies. But then she saw me sell stuff, and realized that I was making money, and she's backed off.

What is the new job? Good luck......

BTW, all women are not financial liabilities....mine W2'ed 5 times what I did last year :D

Plus she is hot ;)

Gimme more reasons to hate you Nolen....

PS, your motors in your rigs keep getting smaller and smaller :flipoff1:

I think Nolen has the 1 in 100 shot. My wife make's good money actually we are real close on W2. The way I see it if my wife made 5 times what I do and I hade as nice a rig as you damn work I would just wheel every weekend and let her pay me during the week to work on my rig :drinkers:

Na scratch that it would get boring I do have some fun at work would just go part time.

Yeah, I keep cutting my HP in 1/2....I think I am down to 80 now :D

As for not working, hell, no matter how much money I make, I seem to have the same amount left over at the end of the month.

My new job is feast or famine though. I made a ton of money last month and this month I made zero.....wait, I got a $414 check today laughing laughing

I stll never heard what kinda job Rob got. I was wondering because he was looking for something in production.......

I am working for an Aerospace company dealing with customers that have gone outside of their payment terms--mainly just the top 10 delinquent customers. I'll be the only accounts recievable/customer support rep at the Lenexa business unit. Looking at some of the data today, there are several companies that owe us over half a million dollars. A big part of my job is communicating with both customers and internally making sure the situation is resolved. Sometimes the problem will come from the contract, other times it's a product issue or it could be as simple as a missing invoice or them flat out blowing off payments. I will also have a part in determining what credit we are able to extent to customers based on prior payment history. Example... if an invoice is on net 30 terms, I'll call on on a 90+ delinquent and ask if there is a reason for them to not pay on the invoice. There isn't much incentive to pay on time either, since we have no late penalties. I would love to change that, it would deter some of the deadbeats. It's not like the airlines or manufacturers don't have the money. This is a brand new postition so I will be figuring it out as I go. Should be interesting. I interned at B/E Aerospace for 2 summers while in college. I started out in the warehouse picking parts. They moved me to a cubicle to do reports and eventually ended up working with an engineer on work instructions for the assembly line. After that project was completed they again moved me to work with another group of engineers doing testing on infared LED liquid level sensors in the aircraft coffemakers... Then I spent the last couple weeks on the assembly line.... My second summer interning there I spent the entire time in customer service filing invoiced which was very boring/monotonous. I have a pretty good idea of how the company operates. My immediate supervisor is new since I was last there, but the boss I have above him I had worked for before in customer service. There is alot of potential there, and so although this has nothing to do with my degree, I feel it is a good move to take the job. I will still continue the video production business on the side, and I think working a job, not trying to make a living off of the videos will allow me to have more fun with it.

This is kinda random, but I was talking with my supervisor about Morris Mountain... And he spent a good amount of time in Anniston and Birmingham. He worked for TWA and then American..

Congrats Rob, sounds cool.

My wife was going to be a good bit more than me, but I recently got a raise and large incentive plan for '08 so I put us back to even! Although she has to work overtime so she will probably win the W2 war when it's all said and done!

Congrats rob, hope this one goes well for you. My job is so far from my degree its not even comical. ridiculous. Find something you like and od it thumb.gif

I wish my wife made more. On paper she does, but all the side work I do ($15K a year or so) puts me ahead. Most of mine is in $1-$500 units with sales of parts I'm getting for near nothing. I think she's currently mid $43K, and I'm just under 40 if I work a full year. This year I took 2.5months off on unemployment to work on **** around the house/cabot's jeep. Damn, that was depressing, we can't scrape together 100K between us and some fuggers here probably have that wrapped up by themselves :'( laughing

yeah but the more you make the less you actually take home. or at least thats how it feels after Uncle Sam gets ahold of it.

Thanks guys... I'm hopin it works out so I can get my paper stacked tall thumb.gif I have plans in the future for tow rig and I'm startin to save for a downpayment on a house. I still live with my folks so it's going to be easy to sock away alot of cash over the course of 2-3 years...

Oh ya, I forgot to metion the best part of the job... 3 weeks PTO :drinkers: after 4 years it jumps to 4 week the at 9 years it jumps to 5 weeks... loller.gif pepper.gif My dad's been there over 30 years so he has like 7 weeks a year :o

Holy fawk balls.
I get 0 days PTO. :-\

Have you thought about going to college or some sort of Tech school? Lots of Associate Degrees out there like Pharm Tech, Radialogy Tech that make great money with just 2 yrs of school.

Military? Hell, enlisted pay with all the extras is better than you are making now with 30 days off a year.

If I was making less than 40K and had no paid time off and was as young as you, I would be looking hard at what my future held and consider making a big change. School sucks, but it is often necessary to get what you want in the end.

I was told years ago, don't try to do what you love for a living, do what makes you some jack so you can afford to play with and do what you love.

Anyway, my .02. College and the military were great for me.
