I was told years ago, don't try to do what you love for a living, do what makes you some jack so you can afford to play with and do what you love.

No truer words spoken.

And Kelly, "Blacksheep" has a B.S. in Business, listening to him on here I'd a never thunk it either. Sumbitch is wicked smart. And Kelly, even I scratch my head and wonder why you run equipment for Larry.

Kelly what was your BS in? You need to be using that to your advantage man.... If you ever move to Bham I can help you find a good job using your degree

Sounds like it is time for an Master's Degree then.

Mine really opened doors for me at the time I got it.

I fawking hate school, but it is a necessary evil these days if you want to make a bunch of money outside of inheritence and the lottery :D

I have a BS in drinking. Even graduating high in my class I don't feel I took a whole lot away from the college of business admin there. I just finished because after I got halfway through, saw it wasn't going to go where I wanted, I couldn't walk away from a several thousand dollar investment and a couple years of time. I finished and now my degree can collect dust as I do something that I enjoy and can make myself get up and do every day.

What is it that you get up and do that you like?

Did I see mentioned that you are an Heavy Equipment Orerator?

yep, I play on big toys all day. Last 2 weeks it was making a huge ass rock wall on a brand new trackhoe, sometimes I doze, sometimes I blade, sometimes I do anything and everything else (25 yellow pieces, 4 skid loaders and a couple tractors and 4 employees, we all have to be able to do everhthing on each piece, maintain it, read prints, shoot and set up jobs, etc.) from laying pipe to welding stuff up in teh shop/ playing mechanic on equipment and trucks. It is a challenge every day and every day is different. if it were a "punch a clock and get on the same thing day in/out" job, I would go crazy. I like a new learning experience every time I go in.
