America. **** yea!
This is a day to count our blessings as US citizens and thank those that protect our freedom. We are very lucky.

I was listening to Fox News on the way inn, they did a 20 minute piece of footage from that day. It brought me back to the horror of that day. I know everybody can remember where they were when it happened. I remember the media reporting an accident and that it was a small aircraft, then aa we all watched the second plane flew into the picture and hit the 2nd tower. That is when the reality set in.
I think it would be hard on anybody on the anniversary of the death of a loved one. But I cannot imagine having to mourn someone every year that died in these attacks. It would be hard.

I skipped class that day and when I woke up and turned the TV on thats what I saw. It was horrible. I couldn't believe it.

They had a memorial that they showed on Fox 6 news this morning of benches at the Pentagon. Each bench had a name that lost a life that day at the Pentagon.

I was bound for a plane from Savannah to Kansas City that morning. That did not happen obviously so we drove home in 16 hours IIRC.

I worked for KCAC ( aviation ) we watched and could not believe it... we had a tracking website pulled up for aircraft over the US and I have 5min interval print-offs of the "dots" that represent aircraft converging on all the major and smaller airports around the nation as the FAA grounded every single flight. That was a first in history, and I promise you it didnt take 30-40 minutes before there were not but a handful of aircraft still in the air over this great nation.
They shut us down and sent us home, I left work and went to the recruiting station that I had originally joined the Army in with full intent to discuss my options to re-enlist. They had the place surrounded and secured with military personel already posted up ... because we secure our on
I then went and got HB from her babysitter, stopped and grabbed a 12 pack of BL and took her home to play on the swingset and reflect on how a beautiful day ( the weather was superb for Ks this time of year ) can go so horribly wrong with the ignorant and arrogant acts of just a few people , I wondered if I would be called back to active duty, I wondered if my daughter would see this nation at war at an age to young to realize what that meant. I literally speculated that it may cause WW3... and he we stand still fighting the war on terrorizim , Iraq has been liberated, Suddam will never be a threat to any nation or group of people again and many many top Al-Quida officers have been captured or killed. Dont **** with Ol' Glory !

I was in welding class at Bevill Sate. We didn't find out until lunch. A few days later they started talking about starting the draft again. Guess who would have been a prime canidate. ME. I was 18, no fulltime job, had a younger brother and not married.

It makes me wonder how in the hell after 7 years that Osama has still not been captured/killed. I guess the fact that his group knows the mountain terrain where they hide very well and all so far underground nobody can find them. I would think he has been exposed as a coward at this point, seeing his whole life involves running and hiding now. But I wonder what those crazy Muslim extremists think of him now? I sure hope they sill do not worship him like a god. I watched a long program on the history channel about him and his terror group. It is wierd how a privledged man without a worry in the world can become such an extremist. I hope our country never sees another one of his terror acts again.

I agree Kelly, I just hope we can avoid it now that we are aware of the increased threats. I really would love Osoma dead, but I feel that the next Extremist crazy will step in fill his shoes. I think they are lining up for his job, which means we can never let our guard down. The minute we start pulling troops out of the middle east, they will start to strenghen their terror groups and there we are again.
I was only in the 8th grade in science class, and even at 14,15 or whatever age, I really didnt have a clue why it was going on, cause nothing bad had ever happened in my life since I am young. God Bless the troops!
