cole. there is a bypass return tube that lets the oil back in teh main cylinder and it breaks off. The fix is done and is in all the new ones, but like any new product there was some mods needed. He has fixed ours and rick D's and no problems from rick yet. Greg is sending his back in to have the update done for free. Mark is quick to fix anything that might be bad.
as far as heating up on long stretches, is this from one of the cali guys testing at the hammers or what? Ours never got hot in 16 miles at disney.

I may have read wrong about the heating up part, I thought thats what was causing the return tube to break or whatever.
