Advice please!

My 97 F250HD Excab 4x4 PSD weighs in at about 7,350 with fiberglass canopy and 1 of two tanks full w/ me in the seat...Looks like a nice find Uncle...:awesomework: And FWIW, some of those boxes like yours can weigh in nearly 2,500 lbs, especially with the added top boxes....

Nope! Crew cab Super duty weighs much more than Dodge mega cab....We've been through this before.

got a weight slip? Lets see.. if my truck weighs 7200 on the scales.. And Jeepies dually weighs 8200. How close do you REALLY think my ext cab is compared to a Mega cab? Just think of that. I also remember you saying all that couple hundred lbs was what made you get such crappy mileage compared to me :haha:

I searched Ford but came up with no weight numbers. So that's what I can give ya. Also know how much Lenny's mega cab weighs on the scales. Well, before it was a mega cab long bed dually.

show me the numbers.. simple. Or explain what I don't understand. Obviously I need your knowledge.

I did that in the other thread you refer to. I think we should let unclstrippy have his thread back...
Start a new thread if you want.
:Edit: I startred one here. :Edit:

yea and you have 700+ extra lbs hanging off the front of yours
Probably not quite that but there is some extra weight there.

PMRs started in mid 2000. Have to look at the serial number to find out what you have.

From what I've read the 2000 years pretty much all have forged internals. It's the 01's that are spotty and 02 7.3 for sure. There is an inspection plug on the side of the block you can pull and tell for sure what rods you have. The serial number isn't necessarily going to tell you for sure either. It seems Ford did a test run of PMR's and then finished out the run of forged and then switched completely to PMR's.
