Short answer: A high pinion toyota third should be stronger because it runs on the drive side.wngrog said:what are you replacing the 3rd with that is stronger?

Nolen, I love you to death man. But the race hatin' is played out. I agree with your statements, alot of money and time for little actual wheeling.
But I'm cool giving that up for now for the thrill of the race. Same as I'd give up driving every single day of the week to be able to have 3 hours behind the wheel each Sunday in the Nextel Cup. Thats the sense of your arguement to me. This isn't about the money or the wheeling. Its about doing something very few will ever try or attempt to do. Its about testing ourselves, our strengths, our weaknesses.
For me its not about money, fame, glory, whatever you want to make it out to be. For me its about seeing if I can be competive with guys that are "THAT LEVEL". Brian Shirley, Shannon Campbell, etc, etc, and so on and so forth, I'm talking about the current heros of offroad sports. And for ME, to have an opportunity just to take the field with such distinguished individuals says I have a chance. And if I never finish a race, well at least I'll know and I'll have that much more respect for those guys, and I will have humbled myself. But until I try, I'll never know, and I can't NOT know at this point in my life and pursuit of getting everything I can out of my life.

butthurt? I think he might have been explaining his position and justifying his actions to himself. I think someone else got butthurt over being called a "race hater"wngrog said:Seriously, get over it. If you are butthurt over something I said, I am sorry. I don't need anybody "E" pissed at me this week.
InDaShop said:Nolen, I don't hate you or ePissed at you at all. Just stating that it seems everytime a open a thread about racing, you have a post in there, something to the effect of it (racing)doesn't make sense. I absolutely agree with you on it not making sense from an economic or financial standpoint, as well as time commitment standpoint. Too bad those are not the factors used to decide to race. Though they are typically the reasons cited for not to race.
Hell lets talk about marriage for a second. For most it does not making sense from an economic or financial standpoint, as well as time commitment standpoint. See what I mean? But for some dumbass reason we all do it at least once, and for the real gluttons for punishment they do it several times. (yes there is a joke in there pointed at you ).
I'm not doing this racing thing for anyone but me. Kelly riding "coat tails" or whatever, definately benefits him, but if it weren't for him, I wouldn't be able to race. And on Hardline, I'm still doing it for me, but like all of us here need some approval from our peers. All the support from the guys on this board has been over the top and completely heart warming. Hell if not for this board and Paul telling me I could do it, I would have never thought racing something like XRRA was capable by myself. But here we are on the eve of the East opener. My names of the list of racers, its cool, its surreal.
I appreciate your support and hope you guys are making the race, I look forward to meeting you and seeing if you are as short as they say you are . We'll have beers and laugh about beating the Dirty 30 car.
That truck could have made it, but it barely ran all day, it need needed a carb and a battery. And at the point that, that happened, we were pretty darn drunk, and it seemed like such a good idea. fugger!MUCHADO said:I just saw video of you drivin an old ford farm truck into a pond. Good luck
