Hey what do you guys run in your air bags when you arent hauling anything? I heard that you're not supposed to run them with no pressure but around 10 to fifteen psi?

I keep mine at the minimum, no reason to go anymore, you're only hauling the bed. The springs can do that on their own.

15-20 psi empty...Rides like a fu%$ing buckboard when I forget to air down after a tow/haul:redneck:

okay cool, yea I have mine set at 15 right now, its just if you start thinking about it if the bag has around 20 inches squared of area multiply that by 20 psi thats 400 pounds of force equally 800 with two bags. The numbers add up quick

yea, my truck rides a whooooole lot better with 32 psi in the tires and 10-15 psi in the bags then 50 psi in the tires and 20-30 in the bags.

The downside to runnin lower tire psi's is the side load/wear when turning--especially w/ the weight of a diesel....I don't know about you, but 32 in my tires and the thing feels wishy/washy...and yes the front end is tight!!:redneck:

with the ass end being so light and the tires being 13" wide with a shorter sidewall due to my 20's. It's hard to make it feel sloppy. I tend to forget about my sidewall compared to others at times.

I don't need mathmatic calculations to tell me how my truck rides. :D

Just try out different settings and see what works for you. :awesomework:

Hopefully you have the onboard compressor and controls. Otherwise I suppose that is easier said than done.

I have a set of the Firestone bags for a F250-F350 (99+) with compressor, in cab controls/gauge, and tubing I will sell for $250 if anyone is interested:corn:
