How do I know if I have this cursed HY? Maybe that's what's keeping me 2 psi below 40... :D
Jeffy might remember what year they put hy's on... but if you go and look at the i.d. tag on the compressor housing it should say hx-35 or hy-35... But i do believe your will say hy-35...

I wanna say 2000-2002, I know for a fact it's 01 and 02.

I ran 45 with my stock 35 for a LONG time.

Mine's an '02 and unless I'm mistaken it's an HX-35... I could be wrong, so I'll double check tonight.

Could be somebody swapped it at some point...

The HY will not make that much boost...you have the HX35
yea that's kinda what I was thinking.. Someone has already swapped out the turbo... A lot of people do it, just because it's so cheap and easy. The HY35 really isn't good for anything. Except they work for a 4 banger

I'll take it :D

What brand of air filter do they use? I assume its a cleanable one...
Crap! now I have to go find it.. I have parts scattered all over the garage. :redneck: It's an AFE filter.

Thats fine jeff-when you find it..

So where is this tag at on the turbo? I looked all over it and could not find one...

Just checked. Mine model is a HX35W.

Does the "W" stand for anything weird or different?

*edit* Never mind. Some quick googling and a search on NW Bombers has left me feeling fairly confident that the W is just an extra letter in the model number...

Mine was on a small gold colored metal plaque on the lower front engine side of the turbo, and it was damn hard to read...
