I am don't worry. I'm ordering electronics tonight. And buying wood. Gonna use a cooling system I'll keep secret til I'm done anyway.

Going to buy copper pipe, couplers, flux, wood, putty, silicone, roof sealer, weather stripping, hardware, and order a custom seal for the top from apple rubber products. Ordering 4 6.5s. 4 8s. 2 12s. 3 amps. Radio. Xm. Bluetooth module, antenna, LEDs, and some other do dad's. Went to gander and bought my marine batteries and chargers and a couple pumps. 2 for other boats. One for this

Going to pickup wood tonight. That whole time thing gets in the way too much! Kinda thinking about doing aluminum instead. But can't seem to find a price for it without going, so I guess I'll wing it! Any pros/cons to that?

Normally id never post.....but this thread is win. Don't use plywood unless you plan on using a higher plycount birch. Al would sound like a tin can full of rocks. Best bet would be to use mdf in the 3/4 variety. Talk with your local lumberyard about the exterior grade mdf, it tends to deal with moisture a bit better then the other.also keep the sub/speakers in a separate chamber or you will run into some cancellation. Proper airspace for the 12s i think i saw mentioned earlier would be bout 1-1.5 cu feet each, 6xwhatevers will live fine in something big enough for them to fit in.
For those who skipped the lurker tech...I'm in before this thread goes south, since OP is gonna do what he wants

Lurker. Can I have some more help? I'll go with mdf. Isn't it cheaper anyway? Haha. Will it break and split around where I cut? I know particle will. The subs I had planned on adding an extra spot. But what about the 8s? It's 2 8s. They're speakers. Not subs. And 6.5s require how much space? What about 8s?

Every speaker will call out how much volume they need in different boxes. I'm guessing youre planning to go sealed.

Mdf won't split out when you cut it. I recommend gluing and screwing the joints to keep it sealed long term.

The mdf wont spilt when cut, as mentioned above just glue and screw,id recommend a small pilot hole as well.it will help prevent any unwanted stress in the piece you will be screwing into the side of. As far as the 8s and 6s in the same airspace, ideally you would have them separate but as long as the crossover for them is relatively the same they should be fine. Airspace for an 8 on average is about .75- 1.25 cu feet each. 6s, id just toss them in something big enough to clear the magnets

A crossover is a series of resistors to send certain frequencies to a particular driver and other frequencies to another
And example would be a low pass filter for a sub say below 60hz and below
Mids would be 80hz and above
Tweeters start at 5khz

And to go back to your prior question if you are mixing 6.5s and 8 mid bass you won't have any problem, I wouldn't even worry about a crossover network just match ohm load to amp and use the amps supplied lpf and hpf. Basically your only addition would be cone area. More often than not any mid bass will perform well in just an infinite baffle setup, all you have to worry about is separating front waves and rear waves, think of your car door. So an enclosure of any size will suffice. So if you had a total of .5 cubes for all of the midbass' it'd be fine.

For subs you'll want 3/4 and preferably birch because of its weight and tolerance to weather (covered with rhino liner or something) but for your mid bass I would say 1/2 mdf (once again coated with rhino liner) you would just build the baffles like you would the box. And cone area is half diameter multiplied by 3.14
Theoretically more cone area is louder (hence why spl vehicles always have 6 8s per door or something stupid) basically the rating that is gonna be useful in your situation because you want loud is going to be efficiency rating I.e. 94db higher the number the less power it takes to make louder. Granted your high efficiency drivers cost more you could cut down the number of drivers needed.
Depending on your budget for speakers I could lead you in a very good direction to accomplish your goal... I did this junk before I ever had a rock crawler.

Damn haha. Your good at it. I think I'll cut it down to a 2000 w amp for the speakers. Thinking about doing a different box for subs too. What do you mean by baffles? And the cone area should be space behind it right? IE: 8s require 12.56 inches of Space behinds them and 6.5s require 10.54 inches of space behind them.
Ok so build the box outta 1/2 inch mdf. Does particle board work the same? There's not much to choose from in mdf at lowes. How are the baffles made? And tell me more. The budget is quite flexible
