Anybody seen a broken Superior Super 8.8 shaft?

Never seen one broke, But I bet I could break one:redneck: . That axle looks just like all my rear axles that I have broke. Shock loaded then "BOOM":D

Wow, I must say I'm surprised. Glad to hear the Superior folks are taking care of things.

I have the second kit ever made & installed in my YJ. My YJ was used as one of the Super 88 tester platforms for Superior.

I'll be calling the engineer who designed the kit tomorrow & see what he has to say. He's a friend of mine & I'd like to hear from him what he has to say.

If you're talking about Blaine, he's been involved in this since I broke it. He was the 2nd person I talked to about it. He's well aware, and agrees that it's a manufacturing defect.

I though that you were only good at breaking wind:haha: (xpost) sorry:booo:

yup, looks like a defective shaft-those dark spots in the metal look like porous spots where gear oil has wick'd into it---cool! Glad to hear they're taking care of you:awesomework:

Yep, I spoke with my friend this morning and he has a few thoughts on what possibly may have went wrong. We were both thinking the same thing, but he wants to see the shaft himself before saying anything more certain or definet.

Glad you're being taken care of.
