A garrett TFE731-5 turbofan engine would be pretty ballin' in the dirrty thirty.. that'd be some trail turbulence SON!

How about a TSIO-550-C


( 550ci fuel injected turbocharged six cylinder that weighs 565lbs avg with accesories. )

Sure a $30,000 some odd dollar engine that requires extra attention as to not **** up the turbo when your drinking. But that would be one kick ass upgrade to a 182. I have actually flown a Columbia 400 or what is not a Cessna 400 with one of those - makes great power.

ya the motor was tight for the 4th round. wouldnt even hit the rev limiter in second gear! ran the second lap in third just trying to save the revs. It got all the rod bearings. new crate motor and goodies will be here monday. will fix the old motor for a spare.
