The rear shocks also ended up in the tire when fully flexed, i cut off the old shock mounts, and made new ones, clears fine now.

Mounted Sway bar tabs.

Also included is a picture of the clearance for the front shaft. I have a couple tricks to get more room, but wound't mind hearing some more opinions. I have a feeling i will need to do most if not all of these to get it to fit.

-use the smallest diameter shaft possible 2" maybe a 1.5"
-rotate the pinion up 2 degrees
-raise the pillow block as high as possible
-extend the yoke for the intermediate shaft as far forward as possible
-cut of the lower link brackets on the axle, and rotate them pointing more downwards instead of straight back.
-get smaller diameter chromo links
-reduce the amount of uptravel

didnt S&N use a custom homebrew D44 front axel for the front Shaft?

Those are pretty thin maybe 1 1/4" and id think pretty strong. you could mayb even find a Chromo one?:redneck:

Just noticed my red star is back thanks mike.

It's hard to tell from the picture but it looks like a smaller diameter DS could be the ticket. Mine 1 3/4" and like Hip said many of them are 1 3/8".

dana 50 long side shaft :awesomework:

if that ends up being the fix i have one i am pretty sure. free if ya need it.

i believe that's the fix the older sn d44 shafts didn't accept a 1350 joint
the dana 50 does you still have to get fancy for the spline mill part of a slip spline down and weld it on

My rig has S&N dana 44 driveshafts with 1350 joints in them. Strong as hell, but not meant for high speed thats for sure.:;

Is it a optical llusion or are you going to have to do some interesting exh work on the pass side?

Nice dash.. how much for a copy!! (seriously, I'll need one some day as well).

Good work, comming together nicely

PM sent mark.

Got some carboard skins on it, not sure if i will keep the round wheel well in back, i may cut it square to match the front. Ran out of time, but will get back on it this weekend. Not much left before the final teardown.
