First of all I would like to make things clear. This jeep had a lot of booty fab on it and a lot BDrake didn't even know about. Couldn't see it, etc. However I don't know who did the work so don't get mad about the pictures I post. :****: .
The project: 4-Link Rear, Dovetail, and Build Cage
Started on the Rear 4 Link. In the beginning I was just doing the 4-link. So I started off cutting the rear frame off. And It was amazing what was holding it together. So at this point I was going to offset the frame rails in 6" on each side. Clean the Frame up and weld it back in.
Notice the detail in work. Not my work this is the rear frame removed......
Close up.... Notice how well they join the square tubing to the stock frame at the rear bumper.
There was a rear anti-wrap bar and it tied into the side of the stock frame. They actually made a descent bracket but failed to weld the top of it to the frame. This was the results.
Notice I have welded the large cracks up and was going to plate it with 3/16 plate however BDrake has decided to go with a Dovetail in the rear and I will be removing a lot of the rear tub. I will bend tubing for the rear frame rails at this point. I really wanted to do this to begin with and glad he decided to go this route.
