I have used this low temp melting point alloy metal when bending thin wall tubing in vintage airplane restoration. It melts with a propane torch, pour it in, make the bend, heat the tube up pour it out and reuse it. Works better than sand.

Might be cheaper to buy a used bender.

Also you need a good die, I use Dawn dies, not sure if you have them in America. It produces sweet bends

if your bending stuff with a seam in it, make sure the seam is torwards one side or the other, not up or down. it helpes a little.

Never knew that, help stop it splitting?

Put the seam on the inside of the bend.

Seam up and the tube will split seam down and the tube will kink. Built my whole first buggy with one if those benders.

If you're going to attempt bending with the poopie pipe bender fill/pack your tube with sand and take it slow it may work OK. A lot of trouble though!

I have them same bender and love it. Vertical was the way to go for me.
