Best alternative to coilovers?

I'm setting up my four link and coil overs are a little out of my price range right now what would the best alternative be?

if you can't afford c/o right now and don't want a coil spring and shock, looks like you'll be putting air shocks on and dealing with body roll or a sway bar.

Junk yard Jeep coils and rear shocks from a fullsize truck (usually 10-14" travel) worked fine for years.

They still work fine now.

They aren't easily tunable or as easy to package as coilovers, but they sure are a hell of a lot cheaper.

Don't let anyone convince you that just because you don't have coilovers it isn't "right"...

Just don't ****** rig some **** together.

If you buy air shocks go ahead and add a nitrogen tank and regulator to the list to fill them and adjust ride height

It creates the never ending money pit problem, first your unhappy you didn't get what you wanted then your selling what you bought for half the price and spending twice as much just to upgrade to what you wanted in the first place. If it's worth doing once..it's worth doing right

If I didn't have the money to put coilovers, good heims, and bars all the way around, I would do the rear right and put leafs on the front. Then go back and do the front later. it would be very stable and a good trail rig. If youre looking to raise hell and bounce around your going to have to come up with the cheese and do it right, theres no short cutting it to bounce.

Do your homework, figure out your corner weights and figure out a vehicle thats in the ballpark and get you some coils… get some nicer shocks like bilstein 5100's or smooth body fox's or similar and you'll come out ok… not as good as coil overs or ori's but depending on what you want the rig to do you may be perfectly happy with it..

This buggy works great he ran Lions den backwards and had no problem getting back up the drop he turned around and run it the correct way it does really good with coils

Dear God.....they say to assist with suspension. Please don't put these on your rig. If I wouldn't try it, you shouldn't either. Get some coil springs and decent shocks.
