Bolted Tires

I road Rails back in the 90's and we used elevator bolts that had a flat head about 1 1/2 and was a 3/8 bolt. They come in different lengths. We were using 13/64 drill bits for the holes and putting 3 nuts and welding the last nut. On a 35 bogger you could put 45 bolts per tire. Some were putting up to 85 bolts in a 35 inch tire. If you didn't have a 2180cc or bigger motor with dual carbs you couldn't turn them very good.
Then chain drive buggies took over the trails.
