Brake caliper

I've got lots of pics from this build I may do a thread on it one day when I'm not lazy.. But so far it's working out great. I'm gonna have torun a 2" wheel spacer on the passenger side to get my width right but I figured that would be better than custom shafts. And it really helped with the way a 14 bolt is offset to the drivers side when your building a passenger drop axle. I'm still gonna have a 1 piece driveshaft and it clears everything really good.

He used Rockwell spider gears in his 14bolt carrier I am pretty sure with a Lincoln locker :woot:
This is what we did in 06 ish. It works. Only difference is we used the 14 bolt spindle welded to a plate to go to rock knuckle, then bored out to use the rock shaft. I like how madmac machined the rock spindle down to fit the 14 hub in later years.

Rear calipers from a 1 ton single wheel dodge. I think I'm using ones from '01 -05, but I've slept since I sourced them. Dual piston with 1.25 rotor opening.

1986 Chevy 3/4 ton calipers and 2014 Chevy 1500 rear rotors machined and drlled for 8 lug.and I have brakes!! The rotors are 13.5"

Try looking into a corvette caliper. I run them on the back and they look like it may work on your setup.

I'd be interested in a thread haha. I'm sure this info is elsewhere but did you have to bore out the carrier any to fit the shaft thru?

What hub are you running? Modified rock spindle or other?

I believe I speak for everyone, you will need to do a write up with pics.
Are you going to run a tie rod od double ended ram?
Are you sealing hub and axle or are you running a boot?

Gonna seal the hub and pick up some sealed u joints.

Gonna run a double ended ram

And I'm using the old style overson 8 lug hubs..
