12 worked fawesome.
I didn't take a single pic. I regret it cause the buggy was super clean and all nice looking ready for the prom.
I backed her on the trailer into the storage around noon today, and she looked like a dirty sloppy leaking whore! :flipoff1:

Boulder Creek, was a surprise, it had some decent wheeling, and a whole lot of future potential, but I'm not going back anytime soon. There just aren't enough trails cut, and the ones that are cut, their rating system is highly overrated.

However, they did have some insanely sick stuff on the property that is currently off limits. I'm going to be swapping emails with the guy that runs the place. We talked for quite a while about opening these "places" up and he said he wants to but he has to bridge that gap with the owners.

I came away with a leaking inner axle seal on my rear steer 60. And the chance to run my buggy hard for close to an hour going between 0-50mph on the road back to wheeling, I had to do the turn twice due to a need for a welder for another guy. Was like driving baja, and got the buggy aired out a handful of times. Handles awesome at speed, and has more speed than I'm willing to feed it. Sails good, and lands pretty smooth. I still need to mount my rear bumps, but I can still get away without them.

Nice to hear it all went well. A shitty place to wheel is still better than nothing. thumb.gif

I put 45 miles on the bike today before I said F it and head home to warm up. 25 degrees

Anyone know the perfect PSI for 39" Red labels?

NowIi'm aired, and ready to roll. I aired them to 12psi for the haul, because I swear somewhere I read they burp real bad on the inside bead below 10.

Nolen?

I had the same issue. I broke down my inner beads. Siliconed the bead and aired up to 25 pounds for a day. Aired down to 7PSI and nver had any more issues.

John that effectively what i did when i mounted mine thanks to MattO and you guys bringing it to my attention.
I siliconed, and then left them with 30psi on the rig until the day we hit the rode where I aired to 12. 12 worked good, but you know, I can never leave well enough alone, I'd like to see what they do at lower pressures.

JIm has double beadlocks on the Sunray buggy and he started running his Krawlers down at 4-5# and it is really amazing what that tire will do with swamper pressure.......

Nolen do you know who did Jim's backside locks?

I was checking out these guys.

I believe they did Florians for him, and did a good job. I probably dont need it, but depending on price.....and down time. I may.

Ok, so one of the Southern High Roller wives took some pics of this past weekend at Boulder Creek, and posted them up on the web.
I sorted out the ones of my junk for you guys.
The groups were split up into near stock to very capable. This gal was in the prior group so we only crossed paths on one obsticle in Bee Alley. I wished someone had pics of the full on assualt on Glen's Landing. It was 4 foot ledge that was filled underneith with clay, and you were climbing out of a 2 foot deep puddle in the creek. All but Seth and I winched. Seth made it look easy, I beat on it to make it.

Sitting at about the midway point to the back where the offroad area starts. No kidding 30 minute drive from gate to the back. 3600 acres of Texas Hill Country

She's a sexy bitch man! For some reason I thought it was a Liberty Grill, that looks like a TJ?
Thats been like a running joke. Everyone keeps calling it a liberty and its not.

So on the way out on Friday night, I'm in Sequin, TX getting fuel. This early 20ish dude pulls up in a heavily mod'ed new red rubicon (So he can't be clueless, right?). And he says "What year jeep is that?" I say "Well it's about 2 years old." He looks at me crosseyed and is like "Oh." I then say "Its more chevy than anything, only the grill and hood are fiberglass look a like Jeep pieces". No kidding he says "I dont think my dealer carries those"

So everyone tells me I should be saying its a prototype Liberty, and you can get on the waiting list for an '09 down at the dealership.

Are you keeping the unpainted AL skins and the grey TJ stuff?

I love the look.............

I had a grand scheme that was going to be painted Lexan for skins, and painted hood and grill. But I dropped that grandeous plan. I mean I'm just going to destroy it anyway.
So why throw good money after a bad idea?

So Gelcoat grey, and shiny aluminum it is. Looks damn sesssy on my aluminum trailer as well. loller.gif

looks nice wyatt, i like the idea of leaving it the way it is now. BTW i am glad the helmet is protecting the gas tank :flipoff1:
