Broken hydro fittings

Here is how I do them on ym own rig. I have always used brass fittings at the ram. Now I understand they can cause a restriction unlike a proper fluid 90. But I run brass fittings because if I hit something that hard I would rath have the fitting bend/break than tear something up even worse.

Take that for what its worth. And for the record I have only lost one fitting in 7 years.
 
It was my fault that it broke. I was winching forward and my Tie rod pushed up against a rock then bent and cracked the fitting. So it sprayed a nice mist all over the rocks.
 
Brass isn't nearly as bad as the gay aluminum fittings many use thinking they're "good stuff" because they're sold by the cool go fast companies like Earls or Russel....I often use brass for pipe fittings because it tends to seal better.
