Did y'all buy it off eBay or use the eBay add to get in touch with JJ?
He tried to trade me for my '58 last summer and he wasn't easy to bargain with. Just wondering if he's bargaining, cause I want his pre-runner pretty damn bad, but not $55k bad. More like $45k bad.

Good one... but i really would like to know...
I have a part-time pimpin baja sitting in my yard currently minus an engine...
3x3 arms, type 2 transaxle, porshe 930 cv's, 3in wider/taller front beam... LS may be a smokin option... :eat:

There are so many options for transaxles but to get a transaxle to hold up to a stock ls1 your looking and a mendeola 2D i think they are 8 grand new. There are mendeola and megasand have the cheaper tranaxles and most people run mendeola's. There are albins's and some others but they are higher end. Also with the mendeola reverse rips out EASY most guys say just use it for backing in and out of a garage or trailer. My dad has a pretty sweet 4 seat rail with 3x3's, race prep 930's , 091 bus trans and 4.3 vortec with widened front beam and 3" lift spindles and longer front trailing arms. Gives about 16" travel front and rear. I think he has ripped out 4 or 5 091 bus transaxles though ;D

Exactly Mendeolas are crap for backing up and the "bling" ones you need for 650hp are HIGH dollar plus you have to send them to them to rebuilt is what I've been told. But seriously what are your real options? Machining plunge into the axles at the bell on a TH425 but then you cant set the motor back far enough.... Midengine with a "V" drive, and go solid axle like a truggy or Trophy?

I know I know, I bid on it last week. I wasnt the high bidder in the end but it still ended "Reserve Not Met" at $45,100

The build up on SDHQ is so sick. So much effort in hiding the rollcage. http://www.superduty-hq.com/proj001.aspx

And I only plan to DD it and blow the doors off all these stock Raptors that are running around here.

Whats all involved in mating the 4.3 to the bus transaxle???

adapter and flywheel, several places too get them but most popular is kennedy eng. unless you plan on building the bus stay away from 4.3. like a dana 30 on 37s

yea, i need to just man up and buy/build a dependable 18335 and call it good... have a nice dual port that needs a build sitting in the shop...

man I would get a 3800 and put it behind a 091 and be set before I used a 1835. you will have more money and time and will make less power in a 1835 vs 3800

Dude, I was looking at more pics of that prerunner and it is so tits. Still looks someone factory but it is not by any means. Love the factory dash and steering wheel and then mastercraft seats thrown in. Killer. Wyatt step up :woot:

I wasnt talking about 650hp being bling, I was talking about the Mendeola's to handle 650hp is the bling unit. And they barely hold up to that in Class1's.
