Got most of what I need to start building my buggy. Parts list.

HP 60 front
Spider rear
5.3 th350 atlas
tubing
2 buckets and a bench

For a long time I have wanted a 4 seat buggy. Gotta get he wife and girls involed atleast alittle. But lately, after looking at AC and joels buggys, have this wild idea to buld a moonbuggy. Then this morning on the way to work thought about a rear engine 2 seater like Woodlee.

What would Hardline do?

this is from what i have had
single seat (can't beat it for the hardcore stuff)
2 seat truggy (was a blast)
4 seater family style rig (was best allround rig i had)
i'm building a 4 seater right now !! (again)

Man ,I think that you should build a 4 seater that is so freakin bad that you could enter it in comps,
and blow littler buggies away with it.......
While you drive it ....and the OTHER 3 people hang on and giggle like little girls!

JUST KIDDIN ,but i think you will have more fun with a 4 seater!

trail rig! moonbuggies are gay...specially if you call it a "car"...never understood that...

more fun in a trail rig anyways... :dblthumb:

Yeah - that's why they are they are arguably the most capable form of rig being built these days ::)

If keeping the wife and kids interested is important at all, is there really any question? :wtflol:
I built a 4-seater so my wife and kid could go with me. I would love to have a comp moon buggy, but I can't afford to compete anyway, so fugg it, I am trail riding with friends and family.
Now, if my wife came to me and said her and the kid don't want to ride ever again, I would build a 2-seater trail rig, just like MAD RAMS! :****: :woot:

You must aleast do a two seater that way I don't have to build another one (well you don't have to build me another one) then when the girls don't want to go because they want to go shopping that weekend and spend all you money I have a seat I can ride in. :flipoff1:

I was wondering where you were going to ride if he does a moon buggy. :****: :dblthumb:

After more thought don't build anything lets just take Droops Heep and then when you brake it then build something .

what do you think droop :dunno:

Which heep? My Jeep? Well...I'm driving it to work this week while Kim's car is in the shop. After this week I don't care whenever you want to take it. I PROMISE you or Todd will not do anything worse than what Kim or me has put it through. :****: That's a challenge. LOL. You have to fix whatever you break. Edit...my rule is you have to upgrade what you break. :dblthumb:

To go a little further on my thoughts. I was going to build basically the rig Cole had built. I wanted one I could trail ride in and take my wife (she does like to go) and do comps in. During comp season last year my focus changed a bit. I decided I wanted to focus on comps and did not see myself doing much trail riding, if any. With the single seat rigs being highly competitive that is when I made my decision to abandon the two seat and buy the single seat. My wife is 100% behind what I am doing. She enjoyed trail riding, but it was not the end of the world for her to not go. I will say that trail riding in mine is not bad, if you are getting in and out of it all day that gets a bit old though. I say build whatever you feel YOU would be happiest in.

i agree with you...just more impressed with the look and capability of a full sized rig...

yea, moon buggies are cool on the competition scene...but for the trail...not so much...not for me atleast...whats more impressive...a street car than can run 6's in the 1/8 mile, or a full chassis drag car?

just my opinion, but thanks for the smart ass comment ass

laughing1 Damn it easy to get your ass fired up - seems like everybody is pissing you off these day - first Josh then JR now me :flipgotcha:

aint pissed at anyone, just cracks me up how yall cast out people that arent in your little groups...

Small ass 2 seater all the way. But im just not the biggest moon buggy fan.

Im all about you just building SOMETHING. thumb.gif

I would go 2 seat comp style rig. For trail riding, you will be able to handle about anything in a well built 2 seater. IMO that is

Small 4-seater, you can do one that is marginally larger than a comp style 2-seater. Have one going together now that the "small backseat" is removable (as we have twin girls that dont always go) and can be replace with a storage box for whatever is needed. We will probably compete some with this rig as well. It is way more difficult to package everything this way to keep it small, but worth it. There is no reason a rig like this can't kick ass :****:
