building a home vs buying

Hal done a close family member of mines house and I have to say the work was superior. Every detail was looked at and you could tell they knew there stuff. If I ever get the chance to build he will be the one.

I think I'm going to go on and build. I have the land and know the contractor personally would give him the key to my house anytime of the day. He will work with me and he doesn't have a ton of houses going up right now. He is actually finishing up his only project which has been a big house 5100 sq foot house plus 3000 sq foot guest house. It is a monster but I guess when you are a multi millionaire you don't have to worry about it. So that being said, I anyone have any cool house plans? We have shop here I can use so I don't need a giant garage attached to the house.
