Building my junk.

The rivets on the radius arm brakets turned into a gong show... they did not want to vacate... I convinced them. :D

Started working on it at about 1300 PST... got the beams in at about 0100 PST..

Putting the axles, spindles, and brakes in tomarrow.

I got the axles in, splindles on, and steering on.. I packed the new bearings, cleaned up the rotors, and was ready to put them on... till I fawked up a wheel seal at 5pm on saturday... and napa was closed... and I had a party to be at by 6pm.... so I stalled out. I bought extended brake hoses and longer rear shocks Friday at Duffs. Umm... should get the rotors on tonight when I wake up. Ended up disasembling both Warn hubs and cleaning the mud/silt/nasty grease out of them and repacking them with new grease...

I ordered an intake gasket set, rear main seal, and roller timing set for the motor... since I have to pull the oil pan and intake to re-seal it... I might as well replace the super slopy stock timing chain while I'm that far into it. It's a 3 keyway piece, so I'm gonna put it in 4* advanced for more low end torque. I got the stuff from partsamerica.. Their prices were cheaper than summit and jegs! Felpro gaskets.. 10.99 for the intake, 12.99 for the rear main, $41 for the Edelbrock timing set.

Anyways.. on to the current pics I just snapped for you.

Looks like everything is coming along great. A V8 in a bronco II = excellent amount of power in a small package. :clappy: :clappy: :cheer:

I have to pull the 302 out to have room to grind off the rivots that hold the stock TTB pivot braket to the engine crossmember... since the sump sits 1/16" away from it.. I'll take the opertunity to seal it's leaky ass up... so I'll no longer be tha asshole that leaves oil spots on the trail. I hated that.

Yeah, it's that SCE 1 piece with the crush limiters.. silicone or whatever. It's orange. :redneck:

Oh, and the major part of the oil leak(s) was definately the lokar dipstick... ****er melted the inner plastic tube by being so close to the header and when I rolled the motor over cleaning it... started pissing oil out of the steel braid. :wtf:
