It has officially begun! The Caddi is getting an extreme makeover. Heart transplant and facelift. LS1, th350, moving radiator, more fuel. Mike came down yesterdat and we GUTTED her!! Not saying she will get raced at the Hammers yet,,, but we'll see what I'v got when we are done! Picked up another trailer yesterday too. Its only 5 feet longer than the red one! I want to put in a bowling alley so we have something to do at nite instead of wrecking pit bikes. Just a teaser, it will haul 4 buggys, pit bikes, and have living quarters in the front.

Wise move.

Does anyone in the Shirley family know how to take pictures? Levi seems pretty bright. Maybe the homecoming queen?

:flipgotcha:

I took the camera but thought we would keep it on the down low until we are done. New motor, tranny, maybe alittle longer, move some stuff around and see what happens. All I can say is she is only a chassis with wheels, tires and coilovers on it, she wont look the same. The new trailer Brian picked up will be tits. Now he only has to revamp the single seater, do a total rework of the Caddy ( have to rename her now) and do a total build of the new trailer and have it all done in three months, I am looking forward to spending my weekends in his shop. Brian thanks for letting me be a part of the re-build, it was a great day in the shop, five guys in the shop working on 4 buggies.

Oh yea and HOW ABOUT THEM SOONERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! loller.gif loller.gif loller.gif loller.gif loller.gif loller.gif loller.gif

Toss me some ideas, I need some headers, Speedway has huggers for $279 ceramic coated. I need an intake complete with throttle body, injectors, etc. I need PSC pump bracket. I need wiring harness and ECU, I like Turnkey but they are kinda spendy, stock ECU is big but it has a OBDII port for diagnostics. Ebay has a guy from Oklahoma City that does the comp and harness for $450ish, including the computer. I've got a trans in the works. I need to call Advance adapters to figure out which adapter I need to go on the Xfer case. GIT ER DONE!

I just ordered some Headers from Speedway. I haven't seen them but maybe we can talk Jim aka RockMafia into posting some pics of them.

You get what you pay for with those $450 wiring jobs. Get a good harness with new wires. Not a cut-down job. Those tend to have easter eggs in them that you find later. I agree, no Turn-key.

Get an O2 and mass-air system....use stock ECU. Compensates much better for altitude adjustments. You travel a lot, spend a little more on the harness and your motor will perform good wherever you go.

Any chance you will do a 700R4/4L60E? That OD will come in handy going fast...................

The single seater will run 80mph in second gear, dont see a big need for an OD tranny. Brian will will be able to go 80 plus with a TH350 and it is hard enough to handle at those speeds. Making the rig alittle longer will help some, the rig will spend most of it's life in the lower speed range so I am not seeing the use of an OD tranny. Give some input back on your thoughts. The guy in Canada that has done over 20 rigs for us is $1300.00 for hiring harness and new computer bumped 75 horse, I like his stuff alot, just looking all the makers right now. Anyone here running the FAST intake, give any input?? I put the FAST fuel rails and injectors in Buddys rig and was happy with them.

Go with a good harness. We used a local that said he could do all engines,BULL ****.After we spent close to 2 grand and four trips back he finally got it to run all the time. After you ran a few days you had to disconect the battery and reprogram again.Don't be cheap on that one.Spend the money on a harness and run it with no headers.LOLKeep us informed, maybe some pics

I have heard good things about Jim's Performance for the wiring.

Jim has done 2 harness's for me and he does a great job. Also super nice guy and will take the time to talk to you about any questions you might have.

what am I doing right? ??? I've used speartech, wait4me and jims on 5 different gen III's now and have not had problems. I'd not recommend the first 2 anymore, but jims is the ****. He answered on a sunday night to talk us through a stupid moment on our part laughing1

Will Jim's make you a new harness or does he only cut down original harnesses?

Jim's has a superb reputation.

Jim cuts down your harness. He does great work, usually he'll go through the comp. and gets more power, and removed things you don't need, all for a killer price.

Jim will do either one. He will do all kinds of custom stuff as well. I have used him on many times.

Also, did you know the factory uses a better grade of wire than the aftermarket guys do. I like the factory cut down harnesses better than the all new ones from people like painless and such.
