Cheap jeep 3-link

I'm the same, if this works on the rear, I'll do the same on the front. One major advantage is that I could crawl up a wall (in theory) but w/ leaves, you can't have a 90deg attack angle.

Everything w/ gloss black is new. Notice how all of it ties together (upper links to lower to x-member). Also, yes, those are hockey pucks I'm using for body mounts. I got a screaming deal on them on ebay (I even have a bunch left over I can sell on craigslist).
The tally at this point:
1" joints: $15/ea x3 =$45
3/4" joints $5/ea x2 =$10
Pro Comp bushings =$10
1" pins (5 @ $3/ea) =$15
3/4" bolts/nuts (2) = $6
ebay coil springs =$10
misc bolts = $10
hockey pucks (ebay) =$10
Total = $116

Where did you get those Joints? I am building a traction bar and need cheap joints like that..

I got the joints from the Ranch & Home in Pasco. But you can get them from Tractor Supply in Yakima or most Del's here in W. WA. Here in E-town, there's a few places that sell them for under $20/ea.
the jeep side of the wishbone is bolted in. The rear end side uses a 1"dia pin. Curious, why would it make a difference? (there's not enough room to run a pin if I wanted to).

I've always had trouble keeping under 200deg. So I lost the old steel fan and got a new S-blade electric fan. I mounted it on the front since it would have been a little too close to the water pump pulley. I also welded tabs on the Griffin radiator to have something solid to mount to.

Finally, it was time to fire the engine and roll her out. I didn't have a shifter, so I used the grab-handle off my neighbors camper. The screw holes matched perfectly with the shift linkage tab on the th350.
It looked like it was time to roll out and test drive. I was so excited, I forgot to make sure I put on all the lugs (only 2 each on the back wheels). I only romped on it a couple times.

Nothing spectacular, but it twists better then before.

After I added the rest of the lugs and re-tightened everything. It was time to beat on it a little and see how it handles. To my surprise, it handled much better than it ever did before. Very little body roll and zero axle wrap (duh, 3-link). 2WD only, I didn't have a front driveshaft yet.

If you use a bolt and tighten it properly, it puts clamp load on the joint.. as it stands you are relying only on the sheer strength of the pin.
