well i broke a stub yesterday so know it time to upgrade to 35 spline, Ive seen alot of yall haten on yukon axles for breaking so i was wondering what to go with id like to have a warranty, so i was wondering on what to run

Most of the folks breaking Yukons have pretty high HP I think. Superior are pretty good I have heard.

I doubt you will spring for Superiors as they cost a bit more than the standard Yukon stuff.

Yukon is the cheapest, but you will probably have to replace them here and there. Both have good warranties, however you may never use it if you go with a higher quality shaft. May also check Branik Motorsports, I hear stan is cutting his own shafts now and he is top notch.

stan is getting blanks from a major player that already exists, and is making the move to all US stuff. he started with indian blanks and is probably up an running on a superior product line. :flipoff1:
I've not broken my yukon yet, but I dont wheel that often.

I have actually had a set of Yukons front and rear for over a year no with no breakage. Now my jeep is by no means high HP but I am running 44's and a pretty damn heavy rig. The yukons i have seen break the most are rear 30 spline 60's but the 35 rears seem to be okay.

Here,s what I did to my Yukon DANA 44 short side inner whith my ZUKI 4 BANGER.......
BUT ..... my right front 38.5 was WAY more bound up than I THOUGHT IT WAS......ALSO SEE DRUNKEN SPOTTER EPISODE...

If you think $200 is too much for a pump. resevoir and pulley then you should stick to stock axles :flipgotcha:

Oh and buying a used buggy and having a turn key built are the same BTW. :****:

I'm not fighting with you Matt, so drop it about the pump deal, i taught about it and i want new stuff when it comes to **** like that

sorry about getting this post off subject; what about those alloy usas

Not fighting, it is just funny to me. There was a thread started by John G LAST WEEK that discusses the same damn thing in detail.

Yukon and AlloyUSA are China and India made, so cheaper and lesser quality but you may have good luck. Don't do AlloyUSA. You may be fine with Yukon and you can swap them out when they break locally through ORC. If you want an american made shaft that is going to be the best quality out there, use Branik shafts from Branik Motorsports or Superior from East Coast Gear (Vendor on the board). Will cost several hundred more, maybe even double, but doubt it ever gives you a problem.

more than double.
worth it in the long run.
I'm doing superior outers.
NO Alloy USA.
Yukon are great great bang for buck, no 2 ways about it. Best cheap mod you can do if you're cheap or broke. They really do work, and take a spare if you're scared.
What joints? No money for outers means no money for joints. If you're going 806x, you'd be a fool with anything but spicer or Yukon. The latter is warrantied.

thanks for the info kelly, i should of asked you first, you always help the dump kid out

i was just wondering on what to run on just the stubs because im going to run stock inners and chormo outers, the cheap way son :dblthumb:

thanks again

I ran yukons and spicer joints in mine with 44's and never broke one in a year or so of riding. with the price and being able to take it to ORC if i break one and grab another there. building a new buggy now and gonna run the same stuff in it. run it until it breaks i am on a budget. thumb.gif

I've ran Yukons in both the Turd and the buggy... many years of happy trails. And what rocfun said on ORC. Keith has that on lock down ! :****:

Been running Yukons inners/outters with 806x and 35sline rears since '02 and have only broken one outter due to yokes hitting (stops had been removed :dunno:)
But then again i dont really have high HP molaugh

im running yukon stubs on my cab turck with 44tsl. truck ways about 4500lbs. aint broke on yet. if i do i will replace it with another one. i also dont have alot of hp but got enough. to get the job done.

yeah i ve made up my mind theirs alot of people on here have had great luck with them, so ill go that way maybe they will hold up to my driving style ive been told im hard on my **** :****:

If you go to the Vendors section there is some really good deals on Blem CTMs. Also if you are going to upgrade the outers you might as well upgrade the inners while you are doing it. Because your going to have to do it sooner than later.

i still got my stock iners aint broke one yet. U cant be has hard on axles has hardhead. he breaks about 2 a year but usually the wheels are turned all the way and the axle is hitting the knucle. Also he has a ramjet ton of hp and torque.
