Rocks can break, just ask Cole. However, you can fix that by calling Randy Overson, but that costs a small fortune.

So you already have the Rocks, Big Block and 205?

Yes. Have already had the motor and trans built. All that needs to be done the 205 is check the bearings and sandblast the axles.
Even have most of the tubing to build it. Just trying to get all the other things out of the way before I start bending tube.

If you are running a singe tcase, you can get away in the mid teens on wheelbase. probably upper teens on a 4 seater with 4 wheel steer. make your back passengers get cozy with each other. try to stuff the tront axle in front of the engine, and offset it slightly to get by the driveshaft by. keep that chassis narrow to get your full turning advantage, ouverson's axles go 40* and that's a lot with 44's+. Your rear shaft will be a little short, and your legs will be on either side of the engine, but its worth it. You need your belly pan AT the bottom of the tcase with it clocked flat and your seat ON TOP of the tcase to keep your package slim from top to bottom and still low. aim for a belly of 25" at ride with that big of tires and 6" of stuff. Sure, on 40's and tons you are about 20" belly, but with 47's and rocks and some actual uptravel, 2' is fine. plan on hanging your engine/tranny/tcase together, front axle positioned under it and seat that is on top of the transfer case with a mock driveshaft in place all before your bend a single tube. build this part at full stuff and keep bottom of tcase to seat height as tight as possible, engine stuffed as far as possible and shift things so the front shaft clears at this stuff measurement. after you finalize those details and get you links snuck in there, the rest is aesthetics and easy. thumb.gif

I don't know if you can tell in this pic, but when I built this one, the tcase is flat, belly is flat with it, links tucked up inside, and the top of the tcase I shaved off 2" and plated it back in. it sticks through the floor and the seat is about 3/4" from touching it. there is only 2" sticking below the rocker panel and you still fit in the cab comfortably because the seat is near the floor. keeping a compact package is important.
