Concerning Reiter--up and coming.

Kat, you're gonna have to figure out a way to keep your fenders on now!!!!:redneck: (that is if you plan to run the road!)

Sorry Mike and Kat i wont be there this morning, gotta go remove some boggers from some rims up at Hip's place:awesomework:

Look forward to the update on the DNR meeting Mike...:awesomework:(not that I make it down there often, but still good info to have...:awesomework:

I like Money-M's plan, those that can go up PS probably need to, those that can't probably don't. So stick to your side and don't ruin it for the other guy.

This **** is a lifestyle for a lot of us not just a hobby. A lot of you will come and go, then the next lot of "wheelers" will come in to replace those that have moved on. Do us "lifers" a favor, don't rock the boat.

Like "Jackazz" said if you think us "buggy guys" (not sure I fall into that category but I get pinholed there since I'm on accomplice) are assholes come talk to us IN PERSON then decide.

If I see some kids in Mommies stock Bronco heading into BYS, OM, or some other trail they might get into trouble on I'll let them know what lies ahead. This is not out of superiority, it's a COURTESY.

As far as fixing the PoopShoot thats just dumb, unless you do it Bonnevile style and flatten off the entire hill and cover it in fresh new 'go-fast" gravel you're just pissing in the wind. That rock ledge at the top of the poop shoot isn't the first one. There was another one a few years back, it eventually broke off and ended up at the bottom of the hill. After that PS was easy up and down. Over time (and tires) the "new" ledge appeared and turned into what you see today.

Dumping Quick-crete up there would be the ultimate insult DON"T DO IT.

Wow I feel like I never left (the boards)

Keep up the good fight Mikey and thanks for posting the warning about the ticket situation.

Well said mark

In my opinion(i am biased cause i NEED to use it) the ps should only be used by rigs that arnt street legal. Pave pounders hit the road.

The reality is this, mother nature fawks up reiter more than we do.

dont beat me up Mike

I am going to make this short and sweet because I have no heat in the house and need to fix that.

We spent the better part of 3 hours going over our options.

All the upper areas to complete the trail (paralell trail to reiter road) are not an option--major work and we looked at every option possable.

Looked at a good portion of the hill side--not an option(but we saw some options for a new trail, long term for the future).

So the only option short term is the poopchute.

Good day.

look at all the bs involved with everyones ego at reiter. every time i go there it always turns into a big **** comp... guys with built rigs look at the lesser rigs like they dont belong

By "big **** comp" do you mean the dipshits in the main lot with beat-to-hell rigs doing brodies until all the tow rigs and other innocent by-standers have been pelted with gravel? Or are you referring to something that goes on during the bullshit mud-slinging extravaganza just below where you turn onto Izzy?

Seriously though, if someone with a built rig and significant experience has recommended (after appropriately sizing up said "lesser" rig) that the owner of that rig reconsider attempting a particular trail or obstacle, and the owner of said "lesser" rig decides that input is not warranted or is trying to prove something, whatever happens next is on the shoulders of the warned individual.

I don't believe I've ever witnessed anyone with a "built" rig or a tube-chassis buggy belittle a "lesser" rig unless the owner of the "lesser" rig did not heed sound advice and did something just plain fawkin' retarded.

Just be smart when you're out on the trails, respect others and the land, and make sure your rig (whether "built" or "lesser") is in good running order and properly equipped for the trail or obstacle you are attempting.

yeah!because for some reason i would think those guys are the cool ones.

"
i love advice and input, thats not what we are talking about..i always listen to advice, and usulay stop to look at obstacle,or even walk the trail. who decides what is a lesser rig for that trail?"

"good for you! i have heard differnet. unloading the rig. i know its ugly.give me a couple years. i will have a buggy too. and if you dont point, and laugh at some one who does something fawkin retarded you should be slappped!"

Same here. I've never been "looked down on" by the big buggies, at least that I know of. Often I find it is others encouraging me to follow them onto the crazy trails. :D If I'm in a group of other rigs much better suited for what we will encounter I'd like them to warn me.

I'd like to actually go to the entrance of OM just to check it out. My ZJ is significantly modified and I know it's capabilities well. It does not belong on the OM. I know that just from the pictures and stories. Same goes for BYS. Last weekend I saw it for the first time ( at least the first 30 yards or so. :; ) I saw the first good tree squeeze with immediate off-camber drop in and said "nope."

Parked my junk at the trail head and filmed. Damage to my rig aside, I have too much respect for BYS to bash my Grand through it.

As far as upper trail access goes I don't see a problem with just going up PS or around on Sac-up.

If you can't run Sac-up or go up and down PS, maybe your rig does not belong on the upper trails.
