Cost to build a rear steer 14 bolt

I agree that 100 per axle could make a big difference. That's some serious weight reduction

Yeah they are badass, Look up RacingintheDirt.com they make them

I'm not knocking anybody or rig because I don't actually have a Buggy but the driving style is what makes the difference there, it don't make a damn what kind of shafts you have when you come down from 5-15ft in the air and you never lift something is going to give and most of the time it will be the axle shaft! Watching the Hitman buggy he airs the thing out huge but he's not wide open when he hits like some of the others drive which that's just their style! Just my opinion, like I said not knocking anyone rig or driving because they are all badass rigs and I don't even own a buggy.

Probably nothing..

I know there is a lot of contravety over the ball joint axles but I took a 2004 ford 60 and cut the C off put them on a 14 bolt the tube sizes are the same. running 44x18.5x16 tractor tires and a 5.3 with no problem so far.
2004 ford 60 junk yard 150$
14 bolt scrape yard 80$
replines stock axles 125$
wheel adapter 200$
very cheap way of getting into rear steer
the only thing I want to change in the future is going with some 35 spline outers.
but like everone else u can spend as much as you want or as little.
just trying to give some diffrent ideas and ways of thinking
Thats my style right there! Guys with money seem to forget its possible to have cool **** that doesn't cost a lot :****:

ive only seen few u fawkers that can drive rearsteer buggys!! go with 14b rear, less **** to brake, unless jojo or tc give u lessons on how to drive

bringing this back up. wondering what you guys are paying for custom shafts, rcvs, yukons or any other brands out there? I'm no bouncer but running a healthy 400 sbc an i like the skinny pedal. also just picked up a set of 43 sx stickies and so far the 60 is not liking it!!

building the housing i can handle just need some contacts for having a set of shafts made. i would like a 40 spline setup but don't really wanna dump 5 or 6k in it either.
any links, vendors or input would be appreciated

Ive got a rear steer 14 bolt will b forsale as soon as I can get some pictures dont fit my buggy if anybody's interested later model housing retubed 70 inners stock 60 outer with histeer arms pm for price

rockingyota give Wide Open a call they can fix you up on some shafts RCV, Yukon Etc.. rcv 4340 will be around 2k & going to 300m 3k and 40 spline gets up around the 4k range!
