Crank

ha, my last $300 truck keeps giving. I'm up to $1200. course it all went to bills, but hey, gotta pay em somehow.
Cabot, your should be okay if you don't get that front end off the ground under throttle and come down. also, don't go to full lock in 4 low and get on it and let it hop. You have 760x joints in the front, so you're pretty safe as far as stockish front stuff goes. On the rear, you're solid as ****. wheel it and find the weak parts. whatever you do, don't EVER put high dollar **** into that front end ::)

x2!

Also 4 low in reverse with the wheels cranked. I blew both hubs and a stub on 2 separate occasions.

Agreed, but if I had to do it over again, I would have had a buggy built from the start. I would have saved a ton of money that way.
Can I get an Amen :afro:

Ok, so Crank found a set of 80% 39x15.5x16.5's MT Baja Belted for $350.

Personally I hate the tire. I ran BB's in a 32 on a farm truck and they look cool back in the '90s and sounded like airplanes taking off on the highway.

However, for $350, and the only terrain Cabot sees is road debris, and extra tall curbs at the Piggly Wiggly, i told he should do it.

That tire will fill out his wheelwells and get him some time to cage and whatnot his jeep before steeping up to a wheeling tire.

I even said, "you can sawzall off every other lug and maybe they'll work. Anyone ever seen a cut Baja Belted??? :dunno:

Whats y'alls thoughts? $350 worth it for those tires for Cabots position? I still think he needs 44 TSL's, but new those are $400 a piece.

Yeah they still make them. Messicans down here in Tejas love them

I'm not worried about the D44, it will handle all the streets of Houston can throw at it with 44's on it. Now if he decided to drive across his lawn or a flowerbed at the mall or grocery store, it may explode. :flipoff1:

saturday when i am over there helping put the bolts back on the 555 buggy i am grinding down that catch block so that after hannibal, you get to test your knowledge of rewiring the whole thing again. if the tires are that bad of a deal then i can pass them up my point is if i go rock crawling 1 time this year then i dont see that i need really good crawling tires, however if i catcht the fever and want to go once a month then the 350 tires are probably a waste but for the curbs and drivethru lanes i have been crawling thru lately they should hold up. plus 2 of my hummer tires go low every other day down to flat

Buy them, they will be fine Cabot. Hell P wheeled Hummers for a long ass time. If you are having a good time, that's all that matters IMO. Not everyone needs sticky red labels :D

Hell not all of us can afford sticky red labels, for example ME!!! i think they will look tons better under the jeep, wyatt said they last forever and for less then $100 a tire it seems tough to pass up, i will let you all know i plan on callin the guy here in a few to see when he can meet

It actually sounds as if he does alot of build ups kind of like wyatt does. he said he was working on a '65 chevy and that the money from the tires he was going to use on another project would help him finish the '65 (chevy i think) so that is why he is selling them. sounds like he is running out of shop space.

i think they will make the stance of the jeep much nicer and biggest of how fat they are i wont look like i am driving a swamp buggy anymore
