Matt you can do it fairly easily on the rig. The trick is draw you a line and take a Porta Band and take your time. You can take roughly 3/4 of a inch off like this. It makes a huge difference and with a new blade it will eat thru it like butter. I have a porta band I could let you use anytime and probably can come up with a new blade as well.

Thanks Kevin, I might take you up on that. I know John G has one and a lift, I may take him up on his offer last weekend and put in work over there sometime!

Or if you can wait, I will be hacking off the bottom of my 14 bolt that is already over there on saturday... save a lil time/effort of moving yours over there duane :woody:

i cut 1.5'' off mine !!
i just need the ring to fit what i cut off
and Kellys only 10 min from my place

1.5-2"... the max we can take out without actually having the ring gear turned down in a lathe...

you can cut 2" off, but only get 1.5" of clearance net with a 1/2" plate back in there. he also cut his ring 3/16. we might or might not do this to yours rob. duane, I got your ring mapped in CAD about 11 last night. have to refine the outer lines, but the inner lines are right on. I burnt one and it lines up well.

Kelly just lopped over 2 inches off of mine and it's turning out awesome...... Nice that he can CAD and crank out cool **** with the burn table and ironworker

doubtful, but he does have thousands in parts laying around in the weeds
