my '07 was a ****ing pile!!! '07 GMC 3500 dually LBZ motor. I bought with 66k and sold with 107k. Got 13mpg downhill with a tailwind, would go into Limp mode if you layed into it on an entrance ramp, etc. I would seriously drive with a ScanTool plugged in and riding on my lap to clear codes. It would regularly defuel. It would pull but you just had to handle it with white gloves and drive it with a crystal slipper.

My '06 you can beat it like a hooker that just stole your wallet and it just asks for more, even before the EFIlive tune.

i beat on my 04 alot and harly ever have stuff to go wrong but it will eat tires and fuel if you stay in it!

So are these bad dmaxs Mexican built? There is a difference in the American built and Mexico built trucks. I had both and my current Mexican truck has had a few issues that my American one didn't. :dunno:

I saw a brand new 62k dollar Denali HD today with the transfer case leaking fluid everywhere. Truck had less than 200 miles on it. They would have had to give me a new truck.

4.10 Gears and corrected speedo. gets 16+ all day long full throttle. Why did others not care for theres? Not a single problem out of mine other than bent tie rods and dead batteries.

I have a 01 duramax that I loved until the last year. injecters went out and then a month later the adapter plate for the transfer case cracked in two. Cole can you give me some info on the efi?

Since I bought the buggy about a year ago I have been looking for a truck. Wanted a silver or white crew cab 4x4 diesel with as closs to 100,000 miles as I could get for price range. Would have went Chevy or Ford (not 6.0) but have always liked the Chevy a little better. So last Monday my friend drops by and said his dad is saling his truck. The truck I want. All hwy miles, 114,000, and biggest thing it has pulled is a lawn mower. Has been serviced at the local dealership at every 5,000 or less. So what I have now is an 05 dmax with low babied miles. Only had it since Saturday and already pulled my 22' pontoon and now delivering my old truck to be sold. Lets just say its fawesome. :woot: :woot: :woot:

Pic is of my new truck towing my old.

What kind of info you looking for? Get the EFI from Idaho Rob at Adrenaline Truck performance.
My fuel mileage hasn't really Improved but the truck runs a whole lot better than before.
I have the Dsp5 switch so I can switch tunes while driving down the road.
1- is stock/ economy tune
2- is 50hp tow tune with turbo braking
3- is 100hp tune at rear wheels
4- is 150hp tune at rear wheels
5- is over 500hp at the rear wheels.
