Dana 44 u joints

What joints are you guys running. I've got chromos in it and spicers but they are shot. Looking for something decent but I'm on a pretty tight budget. Just looking for advice on what all is out there, what's good and what to avoid. Thanks Marc

I hear good things about the longfields, i run the yukon superjoints and have for a few years, they ended my streak of breaking joints. I dont remembering them being too bad of price either

YUKON SUPER JOINTS, I am runnin a pair of em that have broke 700000000 inner and outer shafts, just get new caps,file off the burrs,regrease and WHEEL ;D

I only have pics of a few breaks .......

Just got a set of longfields...but haven't put em to the test yet. I'd make sure to go with a joint that has a good replacement warranty. The Yukons zukiscott posted up seem to be pretty tough!

+1 for the longfields. I ran them for 2+ years in the frt of my eb and moved my breakage from the axles to the r&p. I wouldn't waste spit on Ox joints, bought some when they 1st hit the market and had one come apart and destroy a set of axles. Axle mfg covered their axles but Ox wouldn't do crap about their joint. Wouldn't even send the two caps i needed(rest of joint was good) as they claimed all joints were specially machined a parts couldn't be interchanged.(BS)

Thanks that's the cheapest I've seen them. Everywhere I looked they were over 300 a piece.

Also, dont buy individually. They may actually be a few dollars cheaper to buy that way, but you dont get their super top secret grease (which I think is copper antisieze) and the needle tip grease gun that goes with it.

Never heard of a spicer "life" joint, but I break 760x's with full circle clips like butter. Have not broken a superjoint yet.

Guess I overlooked where it said pair but you guys overlooked where I said I was on a budget twice. Or maybe we have different ideas of what a budget is. Hell I paid less for the axle with chromos in it than these joints. Looking at the pics of the shafts I'm wondering if I'd be better off with other joints. I'd rather break a joint than a shaft.

Yea try that. I tried that route. A stupid 760x broke which caused the axles haft ears to hit each other and completely egg and bend both the inner and outer. So then I had to buy a super joint AND inner and outter chromo shaft
