DD/wheeler tire options?

do MTRs run small? so small that i would need to buy 37s to get a 35" measurement? i think i remember you saying something about that when we were talking about ashtons runner.

astons 37" mtrs's were the same as my 38" sx's. if they run small its not much.

Ive heard radial Iroks break up quick off road.

Ive also heard MTRs are a very dimensionally correct tire.

Id go with MTRs personally. Ive had a couple friends with them, and both have loved them. One with a Jeep, and one with a Ford Ranger. Both in the 35x12.50x15 size.

DO NOT GET RADIAL IROKS! go with bias ply and save the extra money for something else, like gas money, seriously, i have a friend who has the IROK radials and there wore down fast. plus they seem to have a less open tread pattern than the bias ply, but not causing any less road noise as a result. not worth the extra $50 a tire...

i know i wasnt really impressed. looked to me like my tires were doing better than yours in the snow today. how are the MTRs in the snow?

Had them down to 7 psi, thick sidewall, and check out the bead protector.

I like em

First off, Sorry but not making it today. . . .

Second I run the radial Iroks on my truck, and i have no complaints at all. I personally think you are asking alot to get 50k out of a tire and still get good offroad performance.

This maybe just a stupid idea to you, but since you have a dd/wheeler, this is just a suggestion. Why not save up some money get a good street tire and rim package either new or used, drive on them all week and maybe acquire an offroad only tire and wheel package for wheeling situations. It what takes an Hour tops to swap all 4 tires, and if you did it friday at work and used a lift should be quick and painless!!!!

I mean its wheelin, give alittle to get alittle. . . . the extra hour before you go wheeling would be worth the money you save in tires, and you would get better performance on the street and offroad:awesomework:

I know if i did what you did with your thats exactly what i would do, maybe alittle more money to start but you could get both sets to last for awhile:beer:
