Any one built their own set of log tongs, want to build something to help my uncles out, im thinking a 22.5 or bigger wheel for the outer ring.

So I'm not for a buy it over build it usually. But have you checked Amazon prices? I bought a set when we were clearing the woods for the new place and for what they cost I dont think I could have built anything cheaper that works as well.

Probably cheaper options out there meow, but this is what I went with and I have yet to have an issue. This is coming from a guy that managed to fold a Mahindra Loader into scrap metal doing normal "chores" around the house.

Ive looked at some, was interested in seeing if any one had built their own. Yeah, they are cheap. Realy want them to load some big Hickory and oak on to a wood splitter.
Just trying to help and older uncle out, his younger brother is blind and always loved cutting firewood, trying to help them both out if you know what i mean.
That loader boom looks like an odd failer to bend up like that, but non the less impressive.

Makes sense on helping out and using the resources you already have on hand.
