Do we need to vote here or at the meeting?

Well, we have talked about JR Hall, but he has yet to make it on a ride with the club. He told me he had to work for KOTH course, and ended up just going somewhere else to ride the same day. That made me wonder if he really wants to be in the club. I think he was thinking we were going to vote sooner, but we have not had people around at rides or meetings. I don't think he will be active since he lives up north and he doesn't have the capability to travel on his own (he bums trailer space with another guy). That said, I think he will still make a good member, just not sure how active he will be.

I do not really know him, and would like to go on ride or other event before making my decision.

I agree, that is the best idea. I invited him to Monteagle.

I know and like JR, he is a good guy that loves wheeling as much as any of us do. I got to believe that he would figure out a way to get himself to the rides, as the guy goes every weekend. I think we aired him up originally when we talked with him and now time has past and he probably thinks we have decided against his invitation. Let's make our decision now one way or another, and if we want him in, invite him to the meeting next Tuesday and make it official. I am not trying to rock the boat as the Rookie here, just expressing my .02.

I have invited him to the Monteagle ride and explained how we want him to ride and meet some folks he doesn't know. I thought we all new him and had meet him, I think we should wait till after the ride as to give folks a chance to meet him. That is how we have always done it.

He did tell me that about 3 hrs away from him is as far as he can go to ride. Not sure if that was because of his truck, trailer or just cost.
