A guy down the road from me built one of those for a guy. I'll have to see if i can get a picture or two of it.
 
I'm the same way as the OP...always have ideas of something "better", but in reality the rig I'm working on in the present is a dream rig...I mean at one point or another it was a "dream rig" too.

Sure I'd like to hop in one of the 70k+ Ultra4 rigs and give em a whirl, but in the end I think I'm happier in my beater rig that I built myself.

For me, I would go for a titled and tagged Bomber style rig. Not that I would drive around town all the time, but I could. it would also make a trip somewhere like Moab more fun not having to trailer around town to different trailheads.
 
Yeah I've seen it. seems a little high for what he is selling. But I'm in the middle of a rockwell buggy build. That's why I'm already thinking about light weight.
 
I think about throwing oddball stuff together all the time, sometimes it's not 4wd related. I know where a VW rabbit pickup is sitting and actually went through the trouble to measure and see if Subaru drivetrain will fit behind the cab and tuck up under the bedsides, and it would with room to spare. :woot:

I still want to see the crawler on here that had the 4wd atv engine and trans finished up and running, small and light. thumb.gif

Then part of me really wants to cut up my perfectly good 06 Sierra RCSB, set it low on some 40's, lots of down travel, link it, built 6.0, get it to the point that I have to go buy another truck to pull it with... ::)

I've almost bought another 99-06 RCSB Chevy/GMC several times to do just that. (My first new truck was a RCSB Z71)

Was it a little green single seater rail buggy looking thing? There has been a guy at the Wilson county fair with one of those running a Polaris atv motor the past couple years. He grenaded two axle shafts last night. It's a pretty going little rig for what it is. I'd wheel the piss outta it.
 
1970's Ford crew cab long bed with some sort of dirty diesel in it. Power stroke or cummings I'm not that loyal to either. Maybe a twisted customs buggy to tow around with the old ferd.. I will start excepting donations now.

My buggy is pretty much my dream, built 6.0, 205, 14 bolt and a hp 60 on 43' stickies, but I do love them Jimmy Smith chassis and I want an atlas for some reason. so those little tweaks and mine would be dreamy

Nope. Me too!! I NEVER I my life imagined I would have the rig I do. I remember watching the TTC from way back in 96 or so (can't remember exactly) but since I was little I wanted a off-road rig.. And I wouldn't have mine had it not been for a great buddy I have that money is not even an issue being my partner on the rig.. He had a good start and slowly fizzled out .. I send him pics everytime I change something. Which is all the time. Have had the rig for over a year and not a day goes by I don't work on it in one way or another. I keep wondering when the addiction may slow down but it hasnt yet. Another thing i always wonder is how some of y'all build some of the baddest rigs ever only to sell them. :o Noo way! Hell I can't imagine selling my baby I have put thousands of hours and dollars in and love so much. I have come to the conclusion i honestly think that a rig could never be "finished". Either way I always love to see the pure talent some of ya have! My DREAM is to have a Angry Fab chassis though. IT WILL HAPPEN. O YES IT WILL!!
